RajaRajeswari Dental College (RRDCH), officially started in the year 1992, is a self-financing, co-educational institution situated at Kumbalgodu, Bangalore, Karnataka, India. This is a co-educational college built on 5-acre land recognised by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences and accepted by the Dental Council of India (DCI). It has recognition from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), which acknowledges the religion's effort towards providing quality education. The college has 13 courses spread across three levels of study, BDS, MDS, and Ph.D.; the total number of students enroled is 555, and the college has a total faculty of 85.
The institution has many facilities that are considered modern to enhance the academic nature of RRDCH. It also has a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.)—Doctorates in various disciplines including periodontology, orthodontics, dentofacial orthopedics, prosthetics, and crown and bridge.
The process of admission to RRDCH is, however, mainly focused on national-level entrance examination results. BDS, Due to the self-financing quota, admissions take place through NEET, while MDS: National Eligibility and Entrance Test for MDS (NEET MDS). Application Process
The process for the application of RRDCH programs is as follows:
1. NEET/NEET MDS Registration: Students must apply and sit for the appropriate national entrance examination, which could be NEET for BDS and NEET MDS for MDS.
2. Counseling Registration: After the results of the entrance examinations, candidates are eligible to apply for state/central counseling processes.
3. Verification of documents. Such documents would be the score card of NEET/NEET MDS, and the mark sheets of the 10th and 12th standards
4. Seat Allotment: Seat allotment is done through counseling based on merit and preferences.
5. Fee Payment: The fees of the shortlisted candidate need to pay before the mentioned time period.
6. Reporting to the College: The candidate has to report to RRDCH for final admission formalities and document verification.
In PhD admissions, usually, the candidate has to contact the college directly for the procedure and requirement for application.
Degree wise Admission Process
BDS : The under graduates, BDS is conducted at RRDCH with 100 seats. The admission is through NEET scores, and after that, counseling for the admission to the course. The student needs to have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
PhD: RRDCH offers doctoral programs in various dental specialties, including Periodontology, Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics, and Prosthetics and Crown and Bridge. Admission to PhD programs typically requires a master's degree in the relevant dental specialty.
