Ravindra College of Engineering for Women (RCEW), Kurnool, is a top-class autonomous institution which offers high-quality technical education only for women. The college has taken a structured way on admissions into its various engineering programs. Thus, admission in Kurnool is primarily governed by the Andhra Pradesh Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (AP EAMCET). This fair and competitive nature in the admission will hold true for candidates admitted into any of the above programs.
Thus, it is typical for RCEW Kurnool to have its admission cycle, taking its cue from the AP EAMCET schedule that normally starts with the filling of the above seats within May-June of each calendar year.
In the case of undergraduate programs, RCEW Kurnool has a seat allocation policy, whereby 70% of the seats are to be filled based on merit in the entrance examinations, that is, AP EAMCET, whereas the remaining 30% of the seats are intended for Management/NRI candidates. This ensures a diverse student body while maintaining academic excellence.

Degree-wise Admission Process

The admission procedure for both programs is mainly based on AP EAMCET scores. While there are 360 seats available for the CSE program, indicative of increased demand in the IT sector, ECE is capped at 60 seats. The candidate should have completed 10+2 with PCM as subjects and must qualify in AP EAMCET.
M.Tech: The college offers M.Tech in Computer Science Engineering with an intake of 18 seats. It is expected that admissions for this program are going to be based on Andhra Pradesh Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (AP PGECET), though specific details about the admission process for M.Tech are not listed in the data available.
For this, there is a 30% quota under Management/NRI:
1. Candidates should approach the college directly for admission under this quota.
2. They may also be required to fill a separate form available for download on the university website or at the admission office.
3. Admission under this quota is usually on merit and/or interview, at the discretion of the college.
For Lateral Entry (for diploma holders):
1. Candidates need to qualify in the Engineering Common Entrance Test (ECET).
2. Based on ECET merit, diploma holders will be eligible to get direct admission into the second year of B.Tech programs.
3. This would be through counselling procedure similar to that of normal admissions conducted for the second-year entry.
