RCEW Kurnool: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Ravindra College of Engineering for Women is a premier autonomous institution in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh. This women-only engineering college was established in the year 2008. This college has a sprawling campus of 5.51 acres, offering a very welcome and favorable atmosphere for technical education. As commonly known, the RCEW Kurnool has been accredited and approved by the NAAC and AICTE. Currently, the institute is having a total student enrolment of 747, and faculty strength of 73, thus the student-teacher ratio is very conducive for individual specially.

RCEW Kurnool is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, making the educational process more wholesome. This college working library is well equipped and houses 441sqm and is the central point of academic and research activities. The students also benefit from a developed PIMR infrastructure for IT, which also includes an Amphitheatre, wide fiber-optic network, and dedicated Internet lab with 40 MBPS leased lines from BSNL. A gym and the facility for wide sports is available on the campus, comprising a 450m running track, volleyball and basketball courts, tennis courts, and badminton courts for keeping the students physically fit and for recreation. It also has a state-of-the-art fully air-conditioned auditorium with a seating capacity of 600, catering to all sorts of events and seminars.

It provides four programs in B.Tech., which are full time in nature over a span of four years: Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering. RCEW Kurnool offers two first programs with a total approved intake of 420 seats, focused on producing skilled engineers ready to meet industry demands. Among these, the Computer Science and Engineering program has the highest intake of 360 seats due to growing demands in the IT sector.

Admissions to RCEW Kurnool are primarily based on the AP EAMCET. The institute follows a strict admission process in which 70% of the seats are allocated to merit candidates coming under AP EAMCET, and 30% are reserved for management and NRI candidates. The college also has a lateral entry scheme for diploma holders entering the second year of the B.Tech programs according to their performance in ECET; 20% of the intake is called to the second year.
