Rayat and Bahra Institute of Hotel Management (RBIHM) was founded in 2007 situated in Mohali, Punjab. This affiliated college compliments hospitality education by providing a variety of programmes to those who want to create a career out of it. With a faculty strength of 17 skilled and committed trainers, RBIHM has the capacity to make the students stronger and expert. The institute is delivering 9 courses at three different levels of degree programmes in hotel management, tourism, and hospitality administration. RBIHM is an institute located in Mohali, striving to provide the necessary improvement and opportunity to the fresher’s who wish to build a career in the growing hospitality industry.

The institute has numerous resources to promote learning of its students among which are facilities of high standards. The library is well equipped with over 2,880 books closely stocked national and international journals, magazines and news papers which form the major component of RBIHM’s academic resources. The compiled material in the library is in various disciplines including hotel management and operations covering front office, housekeeping, food and beverage service, and food production. Training facilities, such as computer laboratory with current industry applications such as Fidalio, Amadeus and Sabre and well-equipped laboratory with modern equipment are available. There is also a guest room in the institute to offer students practical experience concerning the hotel lodgings upkeep. Athletes can make use of on campus gym, which has been provided for the convenience of the students, and the sports facilities also entertains the need of students related to recreation. RBIHM provides comfortable living accommodation to its students by having separate hostels for boys and girls.

The total of course offered by the RBIHM institution include the following; 9 courses of which four are degree courses and the other five diploma programmes. It offers full time programmes and it’s programmes are created to fulfill different requirements in the hospitality field. The undergraduate programmes include four-year Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology, and several 3-year B.Sc. degrees in Hospitality and Hotel Administration, Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Airlines, Tourism, and Hospitality Management. In addition, RBIHM provides 2 years diploma courses in specialised fields including Food Production, House Keeping, and Front Office . The goals of the institute as to continuous development and importance of the comprehensive education is also expressed in the established course of the study programme including trainings and practical skills with main focus on professional activities in the sphere of hospitality and providing students with necessary tools for further successful career in the chosen field.
