Rayat Bahra Dental College and Hospital (RBDCH) of Mohali, Punjab, is a reputable institution recognized by the Dental Council of India (DCI). The college operates a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) course with an authorized student capacity of 100 seats. RBDCH aims at imparting good dental education and training competent dental professionals by adopting the newest information and practices of dentistry.
The RBDCH selection is mainly based on the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG). The national entrance test is compulsory for all the students who want to pursue a dental course in order to get admitted to the BDS program. Application Process
Admission application process of BDS program of Rayat Bahra Dental College and Hospital, Mohali, is as follows:
1. Registration of NEET-UG: The candidate must register themselves for the NEET-UG exam on the website of NEET. Application for NEET-UG 2025 starts from February 7, 2025, up to March 7, 2025.
2. NEET-UG Test: Appear for the NEET-UG test on the date given. The test is usually based on subjects of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
3. Result Declaration: Wait for the declaration of the NEET-UG results by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
4. Counselling Registration: The successful candidates have to get themselves registered in the state or central counselling process, depending on their category and domicile.

6. Seat Allotment: The students will be seated in different dental colleges, including RBDCH, based on NEET-UG score, filled choices, and vacant seats.
7. Confirmation of Admission: On the allotment of a seat in RBDCH, report to the college within the specified time period for confirmation of admission. Pay the fee and finalize admission procedures as instructed by the college administration.
8. Medical Examination: Have a medical examination if needed as considered by the college to be fit to the dental course.
Degree wise Admission Process
BDS: Rayat Bahra Dental College and Hospital offers a five-year integrated BDS course with the emphasis on giving intensive knowledge and hands-on training to students in each branch of dentistry. Admission to the course is purely on the basis of the candidate's performance in the NEET-UG exam. RBDCH has an approved student intake of 100 for the BDS course as well, with a healthy student-faculty ratio in the presence of its 63 dedicated teaching staff.
In order to be shortlisted for the BDS course, the candidates must have cleared their 10+2 studies with main subjects of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. They must also clear the NEET-UG exam with an acceptable or higher mark than the cutoff declared by the college and regulatory bodies.
