Good Luck!

Hello there!

Greetings!

One gets admission in Bams through Neet exam , and as per neet's eligibility criteria the marks to be considered are aggregate marks only for PCB subjects

UR - 50%,
OBC/SC/ST - 40%,
PWD - 45%

If one satisfies the above condition then only he is eligible for neet but with your marks,  your % for pcb is just 35 % thus tou are not eligible for neet and thus cannot get into mbbs.

thankyou

Lets say while you are attending Private BAMS College, you appear for NEET and crack and get a seat in Government Medical College. Now because it is a Private College, you will have to shell out the entire xourse fees to get your documents and TC because the College is forgoing a potential candidate for the entire duration of the course. And this amount can be bargained with the Administration. This is the biggest economical loss you might have to bear. Now you crack NEET and secure a seat in any GMC, you have to pay the fees again how nominal it might be. Considering the fact you are asking this question already studying BDS and even if you are in the 1st year and you crack NEET next year, you will be technically 2nd year BAMS student. If my Math is wrong, you might still be in 2nd year. So you will forgo 2 years and then pay fees for another 3 years upfront and then join GMC for nominal fees. I do not have an idea of your tution fees but it will dent a hole in the pocket. All said and done, if you get a seat in NEET, you can still go for it. The economic factor is just a factor to be considered.

Hello Aspirant,

BAMS Admission is conducted by State counselling Authority on the basis of NEET UG score. The cutoff varies state to state & also College to college. Based on this score you might have the chance to get Government seat for BAMS programme but it differs state wise.

Good Luck!

Hello aspirant,.

Yes of course you can do research after completing bams. There are two ways to do this:-
  • First one is going for further studies. You can join in MPH which is a 2 years course And join in MSc of your interest ( distance) then start paper work required for your research. MD or MS in ayurveda is recognised only in India whereas MPH is recognised worldwide.. There are few pharmaceutical companies which can fund you for your research. You can further go to PhD then.
    • The other way out is joining Ayurvedic research centers such as Ayurvedic Treatment for Cancer (DS Research center), : Nisarga Ayurvdedic : , Himalaya, patanjali etc which take BAMS graduates for research programs.
  • Thanks and All the best.

Hope above information is useful for you

Dar Roma, you havent mentioned the State you belong to. This is important because in 2018, this score secured a seat in Private Ayush College in Maharashtra. Now this is 2018 data and cut offs chamge every year. This year the cut offs went way higher than expexted. Ideally this score will get you a seat in Private Ayush College inspite of the Category Reservation.
