Hey,

The cut off for different types of BAMS Colleges are as follows. Also these are expected cut offs calculated on basis of the previous years cut off.

1. For government BAMS Colleges , an SC candidate needs to secure a minimum of 400+

2. For semi government you will need about 360+

3. And for private colleges you need around 300+.

If your marks are somewhere between 360-400 you are on the safer side. If more you have good Chances of getting a good BAMS government college.

Thanks and all the best

Hi Harshita.

Since you haven't mentioned your state I can only give you a vague idea regarding your query. According to previous year cutoff, a candidate from OBC category needs to score 280+ to get a private BAMS seat. The fees will be in the range of 1-3 lakhs per year. However this data may vary slightly this year as it depends on various other factors.

Hope this helps.

Good luck!!

Hello Meenakshi,

BAMS is a course of Ayurveda studies and it is an alternate career in the medical field that has a lot of scope and is yet to be explored in various domains.

BAMS course is available in many of the government as well as private colleges in India.

For getting admission in a government college, you should score atleast 425 marks, 450 marks to be safe as the there are many students aiming for this now.

However the cut-off for private colleges is lower (around 300-350 marks) so it is easier to get admission in them. You must be willing to pay a sizable amount of money for your education.

Some of the best BAMS colleges are-

  • Institute of Medical Sciences, Varanasi
  • Datta Meghe Institute of Medical Sciences, Maharashtra
  • Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, New Delhi
  • Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore
  • KLE University, Karnataka

Hello aspirant,

With this score you do have chances to get a seat at the government colleges as you belong to the OBC category. You have chances to get MBBS in a government college. So go for a government college. You can also get admission in any private college. I cannot tell the exact college you can get as the cutoff varies every year. But you can use our website's college predictor tool to have a look which colleges you can get based upon your rank.
