Hello!
No, NEET is important to get admission in BAMS college. Basically, you are qualified for BAMS college through NEET only.
Hope this helps.
Good luck:)

Hello
Yes with this mark ,you have good chances of getting a bams government seat.
The expected cutoff marks for admission into bams courses for general category students is around 300 for private colleges it's around 250. For sc category the cutoff would be much lesser.if you have domicile of any state then it might also help you in getting admission in any college of that state through 85 % state quota. But do remember that The cutoff changes almost every year,so not much can be predicted .cutoff depends on the difficulty level of the paper and the number of students who appeared for the entrance exam.
Just hope for the best

hope this helps, all the best!

Hello,

As you have mentioned that your neet score is 398 marks. Though you fall under ewc general category, still your chances with these marks are very less..
Tentative cutoff for these courses are as follows

BAMS and BDS have somewhat similar cutoff as nowadays students take admission to these courses .

BDS - 450+ for Govt Colleges and 400+ for Private Colleges

BAMS - 440+ for Government colleges 400+ for Semi Government and 350+ for Private

BHMS - 300+ should suffice because there are only private colleges.

Verdict:  With 398 marks can get admission into bhms in any private college with some fee reimbursement...

I hope this would help you. For further queries please feel free to write me down in the comment box.

Hii,
Cut off is going higher for every medical course  each year, with increase in no. Of candidates and the competition level.
Only with Marks above 400 ,in neet a general category candidate can expect for AYUSH courses like BAMS, BUMS, BHMS.
So, with 304 marks in neet, your chnces to bag a government seat in BAMS colleges is less.
But you should try for semi government and private colleges with Lower cutoffs.
HOPE THIS WILL HELP!
Good luck.

Hello,

As you have mentioned that your neet score is 162 marks, but you haven't mentioned your category. Nevertheless, admission to BAMS is based on marks in NEET exam.

Cutoff is based on No. Of factors. Type of College - There are 3 types of Colleges for BAMS

1) Government - Cutoff of GOVERNMENT COLLEGES range in 420+ for General Candidates and 400+ for OBC.Fees is lowest in range of 20000

2) Semi - Government - Cutoff for this type of Colleges are somewhat lower and fees is higher than government in range of 40–50000. Its Cutoff is 400+ for General Candidate and 360+ for OBC.

3) Private - Now this is the most variable type of cutoff. As Colleges with low fee tend to have higher Cutoff and high fee college has low cutoff. Fees is in range of 1–3 lakh per year. Cutoff is in range of 300+ for General and 280+ for OBC.

Therefore, with 162 marks your chances becomes more almost negligible to get a bams or bhms college.

I hope this would help you. For further queries please feel free to write me down in the comment box.
