Hello,

As you have mentioned that your neet score is 206 marks which indeed is too less to get into a government medical college for any course and as per your question, you fall under obc category which almost have the same cutoff as that of general category candidates.

The cutoff for these courses are listed below : BAMS and BDS has almost same cutoff as nowadays most of the students take admission to these courses.

  • BDS - 450+ for Govt Colleges and 400+ for Private Colleges
  • BAMS - 440+ for Government colleges 400+ for Semi Government and 350+ for Private
  • BHMS - 300+ should suffice because there are only private colleges.

You just need the qualifying marks to get into private colleges. Which are as follows:-

  • UR- 119
  • OBC-118
  • ST/SC - 96
  • General - 200.

So, with 206 marks you can safely get into a good private colleges for bams, bhms, bds.

I hope this would help you. For further queries please feel free to write me down in the comment box.

Hey,

Based on the marks you have secured, your chances of getting admission in a government college for BAMS course is really low. For an OBC category candidate, the cut off this year is nearly 400 for government BAMS Colleges. You can get a seat in private colleges or you may try for management quota seats as well.

All the best for your future.

Thanks and all the best

The cutoff for BAMS is based on the marks of NEET exam. The cutoff for BAMS government colleges for general category is 420+, for the best BAMS government colleges the cutoff is 480+ and for average BAMS government colleges the cutoff is 450+. For the semi- government BAMS colleges the cutoff is 400+ for general category and for private BAMS colleges the cutoff is 300+.
Hope this will help you
Thank you

Hy Esha,

I don't want to demotivate you or anything, but if you are general category the cut off marks for BAMS is around 490+ but it drops down for SC/ST categories to 380 and above and for OBC it's above 350. Wishing you luck

Hey,

No you won't be able to get admission in a government college for BAMS course with this marks. You can surely try for private colleges or management quota seats. Check the following link to know more about BAMS course.

All the best

It will entirely depend upon the rank she got in neet all india quota and the merit list prepared in the state . 350 marks can be sufficient if the candidate belong to reserve category but in case of general category it might seem difficult to bag a seat in govt. Institution

To be true 269 is a low score in this scenario.this year cutoff is being higher than last year so bagging a govt seat is difficult however sc category can help you to get a semi govt. Bams seat in punjab state. So I wish you all the best . For this you have to keep an eye upon councelling procedure going in your state.

Hello,

As you have mentioned that your neet score 188 marks which indeed are too less for a general category candidates. You will be clear about your question if you look over the cutoff for 2019 for mbbs, bams, bhms and bds.

Tentative cutoff for these courses are as follows for the Unreserved category :

BAMS and BDS have somewhat similar cutoff as nowadays students take admission to these courses .

BDS - 450+ for Govt Colleges and 400+ for Private Colleges

BAMS - 440+ for Government colleges 400+ for Semi Government and 350+ for Private

BHMS - 300+ should suffice because there are only private colleges.

So, looking the cutoffs for different courses i suggest you to gi for Private medical colleges, 8n which you may easily get a seat with 188 marks. This would be a preferable choice for you!!!!!!!

Hello,

As you have mentioned that your neet score is 85 marks whuch indeed are too less to get into bhms or bams. But you haven't mentioned your category. Nevertheless, let me tell you that the cutoff for bhms is as follows :

  • 480+ marks for Government colleges
  • 430+ marks.for Semi Government colleges
  • 350+ marks for Private Medical Colleges.

As you haven't mentioned your category. So, these cutoff are according to the candidates of general category.

As per these cutoff your chances to get a seat for bhms in private or government medical colleges is almost negligible. With these marks you cannot get a seat neither under 15% All India Quota nor under 85% state quota.
