The Regional Institute of Education, Ajmer (RIE) offers a total of five courses at the undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels. These include - B.Sc. B.Ed. integrated program, B.Ed, B.A. B.Ed. integrated program, M.Ed. and Ph.D. in education.
Regional Institute of Education, Ajmer (RIE) Eligibility for Undergraduate
The candidate should have passed the 10 + 2 standard from a recognised board in the PCM/PCB/Arts/Commerce (whichever is applicable) stream.
For B.Ed. program the candidate should have completed graduation in the relevant stream from a recognised university with an aggregate of a minimum of 50% marks.
Regional Institute of Education, Ajmer (RIE) Eligibility for Postgraduate
The candidate should hold a bachelor’s degree in one of the following disciplines from a recognised university - B.Ed., B.A. B.Ed/ B.Sc. B.Ed/ B.El.Ed, D.El.Ed. with a bachelor’s degree in arts/science
The candidate should have scored an aggregate of a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade in the bachelor’s degree.
Regional Institute of Education, Ajmer (RIE) Eligibility for Doctoral
The candidate should hold a master’s degree from a recognised university in the relevant field of education.
The candidate should have scored an aggregate of a minimum of 50% marks.

The seat intake for the Ph.D. program is subject to the institute and the students are advised to refer to the official website of the institute for the same.
Admission to the above-mentioned seats is given on a merit basis. The candidates need to appear for the Common Entrance Examination (CEE) conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), New Delhi. A merit list of the qualifying candidates will be generated and the admission will be on merit basis.

The entrance exam will consists of paper based on Mathematics, Reasoning and Analytical abilities at 10+2 level
B.A. Hons. (Humanities and Social Sciences):-
The entrance exam will consists of paper based on General Awareness, Current Affairs, General Knowledge, Communication skills (English/ Hindi), Logical Reasoning and Analytical Ability at 10+2 level.
Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) in Multimedia and Mass Communication:-
The entrance exam will consists of paper based on General Awareness, Media, Awareness, Current Affairs, English Comprehension, Grammatical and Analytical Skills, Logical Reasoning and Basic Mathematics Skills.
