Rizvi College of Education in Bandra was founded in the year 2003 which offers teacher training courses in Mumbai, Maharashtra. This affiliated college recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) provide good education in teaching course. Located in the middle of the BoP suburb of Bandra, the college is one of the institutions in the Rizvi Educational Complex. Rizvi College of Education is small college as it has a total number of student enrollment 83 students and 5 faculty members. The college only has one degree programme, the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) with approved student capacity at 100 students, which is attests to the college’s paradigm of producing quality teachers of the future. To promote the learning environment of the college, several facilities are available. 

The modern furnished hall doubles up as not only an effective tool for event display but also creates an active learning environment. Among them, a library that can be referred to as the ‘store-house of knowledge,’ contains comfortable and spacious reading, allowing students to use a great number of publications to enhance their knowledge. For the practical knowledge, Rizvi College of Education has departmental laboratories for the students wherein the college students can practice the practical part of their field of study. The IT infrastructure of the school comprises a modern computer laboratory with the most recent software as well as internet amenities thus imparting to the students with the current trends in educational technology. There is a cafeteria for lunch provided on the college’s compound for all the college staffs as well as students with a feeling of togetherness. 

The two-year, full-time Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) course is the flagship programme of Rizvi College of Education. Contained in this programme is knowledge and training that aims at producing quality teachers fit for the teaching profession. The college offers only one course of study means that teacher preparation can be done in a more intensive manner and that graduates will be adequately equipped for the realities of teaching in today’s world. 

At Rizvi College of Education, admission is made through a merit system as shall be prescribed by the state government, UT administration and the University from time to time. This group entails students who do well in the qualifying examination and/ or entrance examination. This process of credentialing guarantees that the college enrols learners with sound academic preparation and commitment towards teaching. To this end, the college vows to continuously provide quality education to its clientele hence producing quality educators in the country The college’s active Alumni Association was inaugurated on 22nd April ,2006. This association has the responsibility of making surethat different intercollegiate competitions, seminars, workshops and guest lectures are conducted offering current students information from experts in the field.
