RSD College, Firozpur City, is one of the prominent co-educational colleges in Punjab, India. Here, various undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Arts, Commerce, Science, and Computer Applications. Degree wise admission process
BCA (Bachelor of Computer Applications): Admission to the BCA program is on a merit basis of the qualifying examination (10+2). The college is approved to take an intake of 160 seats for this course.
B.Com (Bachelor of Commerce): Admission to the B.Com program is based on merit in 10+2 examination. The approved intake for this course is 120 seats.
BA B.Ed Integrated: This integrated program has a different admission system. According to the college, "the admissions shall be on merit basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examinations and/or in the entrance examination or any other selection process as per the policy of State Government/UT administration and the University." The approved intake for this course is 100 seats.
B.Sc B.Ed Integrated: Admission into B.Sc B.Ed is similar to that for BA B.Ed and is based on "merit basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or in the entrance examination or any other selection process as per the policy of the State Government/UT administration and the University." This also has an intake of 100 seats.
M.Com (Master of Commerce): The college offers two M.Com - general M.Com and M.Com in Accounting and Finance. For the two programs, admission is based on the performance of the candidate in the bachelor's degree. M.Com Accounting and Finance has an approved intake of 40 seats.
M.Sc Programs: M.Sc degrees in Chemistry and Information Technology are offered by RSD College. Admission is based regularly on the merit of the candidate's bachelor's degree in the relevant subject. M.Sc Chemistry has an approved intake of 40 seats and M.Sc Information Technology has approved intake of 30 seats.
MA Programs: MA in Punjabi, History, and English is offered by the college. Admission is usually based on the candidates' performance at the bachelor's level. All three MA programs have an approved intake of 60 seats each.
B.Voc Programs: RSD College offers B.Voc in Medical Lab and Molecular Diagnostic Technology and Software Development. Each vocational course has an approved intake of 40 seats.
I completed my bcom from college teachers at RSD College are knowledgeable and supportive. The B.Com course has a good mix of theory and practical lessons. This helps students understand their subjects well and prepares them for their ccareer.The course is updated and tracks new curriculum.
