SAL Institute of Diploma Studies, Ahmedabad, was started in the year 2019 and thus happens to be pretty new in the very broad scenario of education in Gujarat. This affiliated college has its location in the vibrant city of Ahmedabad and is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education. The institute spans a campus of 25 acres and offers two diploma programmes in the field of technology. Having 125 students enrolment and a faculty strength of 12, SAL Institute creates a focused learning environment. The institute belongs to a co-educational system; hence, it admits both boys and girls to support diversity and inclusiveness in technical education.

The SAL Institute of Diploma Studies is dedicated to providing its students with all types of modern facilities to enhance their learning experience. The institute has a well-stocked library that acts as a knowledge hub both for the students and the faculty. It is provided with a rich collection of books and encourages reading and research culture. State-of-the-art laboratories in the campus enable students to gain practical experience in their chosen fields. A very strong IT infrastructure with advanced computer laboratories interlinked by a LAN system through internet connectivity is available. There are huge, fully air-conditioned classrooms and seminar halls that help comfortable learning, and host a host of academic activities. Excellent sports facilities, such as a large ground for outdoor sports and provisions for indoor games, are available for extracurricular engagement. Institute has a modern cafeteria providing hygienic food to students. Fully equipped gym caters to their fitness needs. Medical emergencies are attended by the institute's nursing staff available round the clock, supported by an emergency medical van for quick response.

SAL Institute of Diploma Studies offers two full-time diploma courses at present. The programmes are: Diploma in Computer Engineering and Diploma in Information Technology; both have three years of duration. These programs at the institute are aimed at orienting students with the much-needed technical skills and updated knowledge in fast-changing fields of computing and information technology. The approved total intake for these courses is 300 seats, where 180 are for the Computer Engineering branch and 120 for the Information Technology branch. This will help the institute concentrate on quality education in these very specific areas of technology.
