Candidates with at least fifty percent marks either in the bachelor's Degree and Master's Degree in Sciences/Social Sciences/ Humanity, Bachelor's in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks or any other qualification, equivalent thereto, are eligible for admission to the program.

The minimum and upper age limts required for selection of candidates to the 2 years B. Ed. established in both Govt. as well as private sector will be between 17-40 years, Or as prescribed by the state Government from time to time. The uppper age limit shall be relaxable by Five Years in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/IRD categories only. There will be no age limit for the candidates belonging to the category of Ex-service men.
