Sant Hari Dass College of Higher Education (SHDCHE) was set up in 2009 and is an affiliated college set up at New Delhi, India. Stretched over an area of 2.008 acres, the college is located opposite the Air Force Station in Bani Camp, Najafgarh. On this basis, SHDCHE is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and is recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). It currently provides student intake of 472 under three full-time degrees programme, faculty strength 34 members only. SHDCHE’s course focuses on education and management and offers BBA and many more. It has well-equipped lectures that exhibit the college’s desire to offer quality education as well as programme variety.

Sant Hari Dass College of Higher Education Happy Valley has over the years established different facilities meant to complement its students’ educational needs. Books, journals, magazines, and reference materials both national and international are available in the college library to support college academic needs. Sophisticated laboratories meet departmental requirements to provide adequate practical exercises. The college has a large hall that can accommodate more than 200 people and is used as a seminar, conference, or for various academic activities. To add up to student comfort, there are options to take lunch and have a snack in a cafeteria, as well as to buy coffee in a Nescafe section. As for the mentioned type of classrooms, each of the one needs to have the capacity to hold 60 students and additional teaching facilities. The college also has a health centre where first aid is administered with a view of promoting health among students. The school also boasts of a sound IT department accompanied by a computer lab that is in good working order boasting of the latest configurations in regard to its academic requirements in satisfying the students. Topping other provisions, SHDCHE provides for sporting facilities, alumni linkages, and transport links to adjoining metro stations.

The institute provides a total of three full time programmes in the field education and management. Among them education programmes are B.Ed and Diploma in Elementary Education (D.EL.ED) for 100 students each and a BBA programme for 60 students. All courses are available in a regular, full time basis. The college offers a total of 260 students across its programmes due to its diversified status. There is no latest graduation figure available but the total enrolment of the college is 472 which also confirm the existence of strong academic environment.

It has also mentioned that the admission process of Sant Hari Dass College of Higher Education may differ as per programme . The policy followed at this college regarding admissions to the B.ED and D.EL.ED programmes are merit based in which the marks obtained by the student in the qualifying examination or an entrance examination as directed by the state government/UT administration or the affiliated university. Admissions in the BBA programme are a little more formal as the course is under Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University and admissions take place through CET. The university grivates admissions through central counseling itself for 90% of the seats and there are 10% of seats which are management quotas. For management quota admission students should fulfill the admission criteria and write the university conducives Combined Entrance Test to the BBA programme . Till now candidates are awarded merit for these seats on the basis of overall percentage score of the qualifying examination. IPU CET Test Scores are acceptable for admission to BBA as the college follows a pattern set by other colleges. On the information if the college’s affiliations with the recognised bodies, one can get an impression that this institution also cares about deserving students and supports them in their studies.
