Saraswati College of Education, Charkhi Dadri, is a co-educational institution, recognized and approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). Courses offered include the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) program and Diploma in Education (D.Ed). Admission procedures at Saraswati College of Education are such that qualified candidates are selected to go on the courses.
The college follows a systematic admission process according to the guidelines issued by the affiliated university and policies issued by the state governments. Admissions to the B.Ed program take place mainly through an entrance test jointly conducted by the university. It assures that all prospective teachers stand equal chances of competing. The admission scheme for the D.Ed program, however, is of merit.
Saraswati College of Education admits 268 students in total on its various programs, with 100 of those places allocated to students in the B.Ed program, while 50 are made available for the D.Ed program each year. Degree-wise Admission Process
B.Ed (Bachelor of Education): Saraswati College offers a two-year B.Ed programme with an intake of 100 seats. Admission for B. Ed is primarily on the basis of the entrance test conducted by the affiliated university. Candidates must possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in order to apply for the B.Ed programme. However, this college allocates 15% seats to the management quota, and such seats are allocated on marks obtained by the candidate in their Bachelor's or Master's degree, according to the policy of the university.
D.Ed (Diploma in Education): D. Ed is a two-year course that has fifty available seats. Unlike the B.Ed programme, admissions to the D.Ed programme are not through an entrance examination but on merit. Applicants eligible to apply for the program must have passed a higher secondary examination (10+2). The academic merit of the applicants in their qualifying examination will be taken into consideration for selection.
