This college is always remain same

    College Infrastructure

There is a lot to see in this college and its infrastructure is world class because along with beauty, students also get very good accommodation here. The classrooms here are very big and one classroom has the capacity to accommodate 200 students.CCTV cameras are installed in every class and facilities like smart board and air conditioner are available.

    Academics

I have taken admission in this college in MTech and my purpose of taking admission in this college is because the teaching here is very good. The teachers here behave very well with the students and there are a lot of practicals happen here because the labs here are always open for the students.

    Placements

I would say that the placement here is average because every year 70% of students get placement and here BTech students are also made to sit along with MTech students in placement. The highest package here is 45 lakhs in MTech and the average package ranges between 6 to 7 lakhs

    Value for Money

Every year we have to pay MTech fees of Rs 1.74 lakhs. In this fees, we only get the right to education, apart from this we have to apply separately for hostels, whose fees are around Rs 90,000 per year.Overall, the college is correct in terms of fees and the students remain happy.

    Campus Life

There are many such places inside the campus where students can spend their time and enjoy. For the students, things like gym facilities, outdoor stadium, indoor stadium have been built.Every month big events are held here in which many singers and celebrities are invited. This college is located in Mumbai.

the institute is academically oriented, peer group is strong

    Verified Review
    College Infrastructure

College has all necessary equipment and infrastructure and is renewed regularly, free WiFi is available upon registration, computer labs are new and updated, students take responsibility and maintain the labs, and regular feedback is taken. Hygiene is very good and living spaces are well maintained.

    Academics

2nd year student BTechCS, quality of teaching is average, standard books and resources are used, few courses have small small variations like poster making and projects. Maximum learning happens due to peer group and not cause of faculty. Faculty is helping and ready to help anytime, but not really helpful when approached with doubts(generally speaking). But on the flip side there are few fantastic faculty too

    Placements

Quality of placements have been really good for the past years, with quite high number of students placed. I have to check site for highest package offered, and average salary offered, but they are also quite good in comparison to other colleges in Maharashtra, at par with COEP and VJTI

    Value for Money

Cost : Little above 1lakh per year. I am not happy with the overall growth I am getting out of the institute. The institute is still growing and keeps on trying new ways to improve its quality and performance, due to autonomy. But, the overall atmosphere is too academically oriented and there's a severe misdirected focus. From full fledged development which it promises to do, to academic development, which too is not well delivered as a whole.

    Campus Life

Best features is a strong peer group, and resources that it provides, and also the campus itself . It has wide range of clubs, but not too focus is given to them as the institute doesn't promote overall development. It is too academically oriented and has less flexibility.

My 2 years at SPIT so far

    College Infrastructure

SPIT as such doesn't have a good infrastructure ! Also deal with the fact even canteen was removed last year from the college. I suppose all the major maintenance goes to campus ! Overall , I would say college infrastructure is not that bright or high quality level or very attractive, and nowhere near to that of colleges under SVKM or even other engineering colleges like Thakur and others.

    Academics

One thing SPIT is proud about is it's overall academics and focus on student's talent + his/her extra skills. SPIT organizes many social and educational and extra courses/programs to make students involve and explore more things along with studies. SPIT also required equipment and excellent mentors/professors who encourage them in many projects or involve them in real world application situation with their knowledge.

    Placements

Just last year I guess we got placement for 40 lac as well ! In-campus placements are very good as you would except. Also, SPIT has it's own incubation center : SPTBI ; so this benefits a lot for students to have internships over there. Lastly, many students are even encouraged for further studies and to start their own business.

IT in DJ shangvi or EXTC in SPIT which one is better in term of college , branch and placement

    Hi,

Choosing between IT at DJ Sanghvi College of Engineering (DJSCE) and Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering (EXTC) at Sardar Patel Institute of Technology (SPIT) depends on several factors including the reputation of the colleges, the specific branches, and the placement opportunities. Here's a comparison to help you make an informed decision:

    College Reputation

    • DJ Sanghvi College of Engineering (DJSCE) : Known for its strong engineering programs and good infrastructure. It has a positive reputation in the Mumbai region.
    • Sardar Patel Institute of Technology (SPIT) : Also a well-reputed institution, especially known for its strong focus on academics and research. SPIT has a strong alumni network and good industry connections.

    Branch Comparison

    • Information Technology (IT) at DJSCE :

      • Curriculum : Focuses on software development, data structures, algorithms, computer networks, databases, etc.
      • Career Opportunities : High demand in the job market, with opportunities in software development, IT services, data analysis, cybersecurity, etc.
      • Placements : IT generally has robust placement opportunities as the tech industry is continuously growing.
    • Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering (EXTC) at SPIT :

      • Curriculum : Covers communication systems, signal processing, electronics, microprocessors, and embedded systems.
      • Career Opportunities : Opportunities in telecommunications, hardware design, embedded systems, and electronics industries. There is also scope for roles in software, especially in embedded systems and IoT.
      • Placements : EXTC also has good placement prospects, though it might be slightly more niche compared to IT. However, SPIT has a strong placement record overall.

    Placement Statistics

    • DJSCE IT :

      • Companies : Regular recruiters include top IT companies such as TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Capgemini, and various startups.
      • Average Package : Generally ranges between INR 5-8 LPA for IT graduates.

    Personal Interest

Your personal interest and aptitude in the subjects should play a significant role in your decision. If you are more inclined towards software and IT, then DJSCE IT might be the better choice. On the other hand, if you are passionate about electronics, communication systems, and related fields, then EXTC at SPIT would be more suitable.

    Conclusion

Both options have their strengths, but generally:

    • DJSCE IT is preferable if you are looking for a broader range of opportunities in the rapidly growing IT sector with potentially better placement prospects.
    • SPIT EXTC is ideal if you are interested in the specialized field of electronics and telecommunication and appreciate the academic rigor and reputation of SPIT.

Ultimately, consider your career goals, interests, and the specific strengths of each institution before making a decision.
