GD Goenka University, Gurugram has a School of Architecture and Planning which is a focused institution that was established to impel the future generations of architects and urban planners to serve society. The school, though very young, was established in 2014 and has rapidly and consistently made its niche in the architectural educational arena. Situated within the GD Goenka Education City on Sohna Gurgaon Road, Sohna, Haryana, the school enjoys the associated advantage of being close to the dynamic metropolis of Delhi NCR. The institution is approved by the Council of Architecture and fulfills all the norms set for architectural education. With a 4-strong number of experienced professionals in the faculty.
GD Goenka University facilitates various facilities for the students in order to make the study process easier. A well-stocked library supports the educational needs of the students. The students have a place to rest and forge brotherhood in the form of a cafeteria on campus. Such labs provide opportunities firsthand to students regarding the IT infrastructure and, particularly with the future architects and planners, such hands-on are really critical. All such facilities are available to the male as well as female students, who can use the hostel facilities for residence. A health centre with First Aid facilities too is part of the campus, which deems precious the wellness of students.
The School of Architecture and Planning offers three full-time undergraduate programs. Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.), Bachelor of Planning (B.Plan), and Bachelor of Science in Building Systems (B.Sc Building Systems). The flagship course, B.Arch., runs with an approved intake of 40 students per year for a period of 5 years, ensuring students are prepared for an in-depth understanding of architectural principles and practices. The B.Plan is a four-year program dealing mainly with factors of urban and regional planning and development. The one I am presently studying is called the B.Sc in Building Systems.

Admission at to the School of Architecture and Planning is based essentially on merit. The B.Arch course has been making use of the National Aptitude Test in Architecture for the selection process. Students should be able to qualify within the NATA exam for admission. The other relevant criteria are considered by the School, which helps to admit students at an overall evaluation of each of the candidates.
