The School of Energy Technology was established in the year 2007 and it is one of the prestigious institutions that exist in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. As the specialised school under PDEU, it continues to focus on energy-related disciplines that offer undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. It was approved by AICTE, and generally speaking, it focuses on studies in Petroleum Engineering as well as Renewable Energy. This school comprises 18 faculty members, and an environment is provided in the campus premises to pursue academics and research in the field of energy.
Pandit Deendayal Energy University is equipped with a befitting set of facilities that would enable students to carry out their learning and research activities. This is in terms of the Library & Information Centre, which is a centre of excellence in terms of collection of books and journals that relate to the engineering and energy sectors. In addition to these resources are online databases and e-resources, which give the ability to learn and research from anywhere in the world. Laboratories form part of the curriculum and provide students with practical experience in several aspects of Energy Technology. These laboratories are constantly upgraded to support advanced research work by M.Tech and Ph.D. students.
The School of Energy Technology has various courses at different levels. Among the undergraduate programmes, the flagship programme is the B.Tech in Petroleum Engineering with a seating capacity of 120 seats. Other B.Tech programmes are Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, and Electrical Engineering. It offers Post Graduate M. Tech programmes in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Energy Systems, and Electrical Engineering. The intake for the M. Tech programme in Petroleum Engineering is 36 seats. It also offers M. Sc. Programmes in Physics and Chemistry and B.Sc. (Hons.) in Physics and Chemistry for those students who wish to pursue pure sciences with a focus on energy.
Admission procedures for the School of Energy Technology differ for different programmes and levels. In the B.Tech programme, 33% of entries are given from the quota of the Gujarat government, 52% from All India seats, and 15% NRI quota entry. Seats available in the entire state of India are according to the merit position of JEE Main while for the government seats, the Admission Committee for Professional Courses, Gujarat, takes care of the admission procedure. For the seat in M.Tech, the admission process will be taken up based on ranking in GATE scores. For the M.Sc and B.Sc Hons courses, the admission procedure consists of marks on undergraduate performance, written test, and a personal interview.
The School of Energy Technology accepts the multiple scores from entry-level examinations. The students thus get brought under one umbrella, like JEE Main for B.Tech and GATE for M.Tech, at a state level, GUJCET. Such diverse entry routes ensure the access of talented students from various sections of life to studies here.

The School of Energy Technology, Pandit Deendayal Energy University (PDEU), Gandhinagar, offers various undergraduate and postgraduate programs in energy-related subjects. The PDEU admissions process is aimed at selecting the best and the most deserving candidates through various national-level entrance examinations. The institute has a detailed admission process with different quotas for various categories of students, ensuring a mix of students from diverse backgrounds and communities. Undergraduate programs usually have their admissions starting in January with the JEE Main. Admission into B.Tech is held in three categories: 33% Government Seats, 52% All India Seats, and 15% NRI Seats. The admission into Government Seats is through the Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC), Gujarat, while the All-India and NRI Seats are directly admitted by the university based on the scores of JEE Main.
Typically, the postgraduate M.Tech and M.Sc admissions will be held after the respective entrance examinations have been completed GATE as well as a university-specific examination. The M.Tech admissions are usually granted by the GATE Score with a written test and/or interview invited as additional considerations. As each of the various courses has different eligibility criteria, for B.Tech courses, the candidates, in sum, must have physics, chemistry and mathematics as compulsory subjects in 10+2. M.Tech will normally require a B.E./B.Tech degree in the relevant field, while M.Sc requires a B.Sc degree in the relevant area. PDEU accepts several entrance examination scores, including JEE Main for B.Tech programs, GATE for M.Tech programs, and university-specific tests for M.Sc courses. Other entrance exams — which may include the Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GUJCET) — may be applicable for admissions to various programs.

As i think my college provides one of the most developed and maintained campus in my state. All the laboratory and class rooms have AC and smart boards. Even the library have huge amount of books related to our course and other informative magazines.
Hello student,
Yes, laptop in these days is really getting very necessary, be you're in CSE, ECE branch or Petroleum/Chemical engineering. With a laptop, you can prepare your preferred subject or topic presentation. You can learn MATLAB computer course from any training institute offering with computer courses which it helps you in process calculations easily if you're using a laptop. Also, if you're technically strong and can work out in computers, you can get a good job too.
Hope, it helps you.
