The School of Energy Technology, Pandit Deendayal Energy University (PDEU), Gandhinagar, offers various undergraduate and postgraduate programs in energy-related subjects. The PDEU admissions process is aimed at selecting the best and the most deserving candidates through various national-level entrance examinations. The institute has a detailed admission process with different quotas for various categories of students, ensuring a mix of students from diverse backgrounds and communities. Undergraduate programs usually have their admissions starting in January with the JEE Main. Admission into B.Tech is held in three categories: 33% Government Seats, 52% All India Seats, and 15% NRI Seats. The admission into Government Seats is through the Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC), Gujarat, while the All-India and NRI Seats are directly admitted by the university based on the scores of JEE Main.
Typically, the postgraduate M.Tech and M.Sc admissions will be held after the respective entrance examinations have been completed GATE as well as a university-specific examination. The M.Tech admissions are usually granted by the GATE Score with a written test and/or interview invited as additional considerations. As each of the various courses has different eligibility criteria, for B.Tech courses, the candidates, in sum, must have physics, chemistry and mathematics as compulsory subjects in 10+2. M.Tech will normally require a B.E./B.Tech degree in the relevant field, while M.Sc requires a B.Sc degree in the relevant area. PDEU accepts several entrance examination scores, including JEE Main for B.Tech programs, GATE for M.Tech programs, and university-specific tests for M.Sc courses. Other entrance exams — which may include the Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GUJCET) — may be applicable for admissions to various programs.

The seats are distributed as 33% Government Seats (through ACPC), 52% All India Seats, and 15% NRI Seats. Candidates must have passed their 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
M.Tech: PDEU is offering M.Tech courses in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Energy Systems, and Electrical Engineering. The admissions will mostly depend on GATE scores with the B.E./B.Tech degree in the concerned discipline required for a candidate. Selection processes may include a written test and/or interview besides GATE scores.
M.Sc: The institute proposes M.Sc programs in Physics and Chemistry. The following three aspects are considered in selection: 50% weightage to UG final exam performance, 25% weightage to written test performance, and 25% weightage to performance during a personal interview. Candidates must have a B.Sc degree in the relevant subject.
B.Sc (Hons): PDEU offers B.Sc (Hons) programs in Physics and Chemistry. Admission is granted based on board scores in 12th (75% weightage) and a personal interview (25% weightage). Candidates must have studied Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Biology in their 12th standard.

The academic curriculum of chemical engineering is updated by the programme chair who designs the course curriculum with the help of experienced faculty . The practical experience are related to laboratory provided to students
I am studying in Petroleum Engineering. This is because PDPU provides best placements in this field. The faculties of the college are very friendly with students, they helps student to know his/her weak points.
Hello student,
Yes, laptop in these days is really getting very necessary, be you're in CSE, ECE branch or Petroleum/Chemical engineering. With a laptop, you can prepare your preferred subject or topic presentation. You can learn MATLAB computer course from any training institute offering with computer courses which it helps you in process calculations easily if you're using a laptop. Also, if you're technically strong and can work out in computers, you can get a good job too.
Hope, it helps you.
