The Jaipur National University, Jaipur, School of Hotel Management and Catering Technology offers a holistic admission process for hospitality professionals. The AICTE-approved institution offers various specializations in hospitality and culinary arts streams.

2. For BHMCT and BHMCT-MBA programs

  • Apply for and appear in the entrance examination held by the institute.
  • Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a Personal Interview (PI).

3. For B.Sc Hospitality and Hotel Administration, Diploma in Bakery and Confectionery, and Diploma in Culinary Arts:

  • Apply on the basis of academic merit.
  • Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a Personal Interview (PI).

4. Prepare for the Personal Interview, which is a crucial part of the selection process for all programs. The PI assesses the candidate's suitability for the hospitality industry.

5. After clearing the entrance test (if applicable) and PI, submit all required documents for verification. These may include:

  • 10th and 12th mark sheets and certificates
  • Entrance exam score card (for BHMCT and BHMCT-MBA programs)
  • Any other certificates or documents as specified by the institute

6. Pay application and admission fees as specified by the institute.

7. The candidate will be informed of the final admission confirmation once verifications are completed and fees paid.

Degree wise Admission Process

BHMCT (Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology): This is the largest program offered by the institute with a capacity of 60 students. Entry to BHMCT is by an entrance test and a Personal Interview (PI). This intensive selection process ensures that students have both the intellectual skills and personal qualities required to excel in the hospitality industry.

B.Sc Hospitality and Hotel Administration: Admission to this course is on merit and Personal Interview (PI) basis. This helps the institute to evaluate the candidate's performance at the academic level as well as his/her interest and aptitude in the hospitality sector.

Diploma in Bakery and Confectionery: The admission process for this specialized diploma course is on merit and Personal Interview (PI). This will serve to choose the candidates with special interest in bakery and confectionery.

Diploma in Culinary Arts: Similar to the Bakery and Confectionery course, merit-based and Personal Interview (PI) are the admission criteria for the Culinary Arts diploma. The process helps in the selection of interested candidates for culinary arts.

BHMCT-MBA Integrated Programme: The same selection procedure applies to this integrated program as for the BHMCT program, which includes an entrance test and a Personal Interview (PI). The process of stringent selection is to identify the potential candidates for both hotel management and advanced studies in business.
