The B.Sc. (Hons.) Psychology and Behaviour program follows a multidisciplinary approach to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of various aspects of mental processes and human behaviour. The program emphasizes research-led teaching through a curriculum covering various psychological domains such as clinical, developmental, organizational, cognitive, and social psychology, cognitive neuropsychology, and organizational behaviour. The program provides access to a state-of-the-art psychology lab with industry-standard equipment, enabling students to gain hands-on experience with EEG, virtual reality headsets, psychometric assessments, and data analysis tools.

A distinctive feature of this program is its commitment to fostering well-being through student-led initiatives. Students engage in real-world applications of psychological principles, addressing societal challenges, and contributing to the well-being of individuals and communities. Students promote mental health awareness in the university and local community, through the student-led newsletter ‘Mental Health Matters’ with articles written and edited by our undergraduate students.

Students are required to undertake subjects from allied fields such as Political Science, History, Sociology, Mathematics and Statistics to explore congruencies with their core fields of study. Students also attend research seminars, lecture series, conferences and master classes facilitated by globally renowned academicians to stay abreast of the latest in their chosen field and gain hands-on training for applying theoretical concepts in real-world scenarios.

Students are assessed through diverse methods such as presentations, posters, role plays, podcasts, etc., fostering their overall development and ensuring a comprehensive learning experience.

Students can pursue an additional fourth year and graduate with an honours degree. Students who opt for the fourth year are exposed to internships, dissertations, and field visits to various NGOs, counselling centres, and hospitals. They also visit well-appointed labs in relevant institutions to have first-hand experience of practice and research.
