No data provided by the college for admission procedure for the latest year
A state-of-the-art, comprehensive, and merit-based admission procedure is offered with all its varied programmes in engineering and technology under the School of Technology at Pandit Deendayal Energy University (PDEU) in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. The modern facilities offered for its undergraduate and postgraduate courses also pursue an admission procedure for selecting the most meritorious and deserving candidates from India and the world. Usually, PDEU initiates its admission cycle between April and ends with July. Undergraduate programs admit applicants who qualify using JEE Main scores for All India and NRI seats, while government seats use GUJCET scores. The predominant postgraduate admissions are conducted through GATE.
To be eligible for undergraduate programs, the candidate must have had a higher secondary (10+2) education with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. A few courses further specify that the candidate must obtain a minimum of 50% (aggregate) marks in the qualifying examination. Most postgraduates require a bachelor's degree in the relevant discipline from an Indian university or equivalent, usually with 55-60% marks or an equivalent CGPA. Some programs such as the admissions for Ph.D. have a written aptitude test and personal interview conducted by PDEU. Moreover, PDEU considers scores from some other national-level entrance exams like JEE Main, GATE, or GUJCET depending on course/program and category of seats.
Application Process
PDEU application procedure varies according to different programs:
For B.Tech Programs:
For M.Tech Programs:
M.Sc Mathematics and Computing:
For Ph.D Programs:
It is advised that candidacy always continues checking the official PDEU website for the most recent information on various procedures concerning application forms, deadlines, exam dates, and actions concerning admission.
Degree entrance Procedure
B.Tech: PDEU provides 5 B.Tech courses with a total intake of 750 seats. For admission to All India seats (52%) and NRI (15%), scores from JEE Main are used, and GUJCET scores are required for Government seats (33%). Programs offered are Computer Engineering, Information and Communication Technology, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Electronics and Communication Engineering.
M.Tech: The Institute offers a number of M.Tech programs such as Environmental Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Data Science, Cyber Security, and Artificial Intelligence. The primary admission criterion is the GATE score. Each of these programs has an intake of 18 seats. Candidates must have a B.E./B.Tech. or equivalent degree in the relevant area.
M.Sc: PDEU has an M.Sc in Mathematics and Computing available with 25 seats on offer. The admission process consists of three components: (1) performance in the undergraduate final examination (50%), (2) written test (25%), and (3) personal interview (25%). Eligible candidates will have graduated with a B.Sc. degree in the relevant stream.
Ph.D. Doctoral programs in various disciplines like Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Information and Communication Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Solar Energy, Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry. Admission procedure comprises a written aptitude test (50% research methodology and 50% subjects) followed by a personal interview for shortlisted candidates.

The school of technology offers different types of engineering to students from which one is communication and information technology which teaches students practically in computer labs about information and digitalization
In PDPU, they prepare you for almost everything, when it comes to mechanical engineering, I have a vast majority of subjects and I have equally good professors, PDPU has a great method of teaching and evaluating the student’s performance even during COVID. In my 4th semester, I have total of 12 subjects( including labs) where I get to develop my technical skills( theory and practical) as well as my communication skills, the electives provided make sure that your creative side is flourished.
Hello,
Institute of chemical technology is one of the top colleges through jee mains and MHTCET . To get in this college you need to get atleast 98-99 percentile as per the general category and gender neutral.
The state merit list prepared by the authorities decides the state rank of the candidates and accordingly they will be admitted to the institutes provided they clear the cut offs .
Generally for ICT Mumbai the cut off generally stays under 3-4k for the lowest branch. However various factors are considered while deciding the cut offs like number of candidates appearing in the examination,choices filled by the candidates, number of vacant seats in college previous years cut offs.
Hello Aspirant,
See there is no any minimum percentile required to be eligible for admission in NITs for any category because the seat allotment process is based on the rank of candidate but if you are a general candidate and wants to get into any NIT then you should at least try for 97.8+ percentile in JEE-Main 2022 for top NITs and for average NITs 96+ percentile will also be the decent score .
And the qualifying cut-off percentiles which needs to be cleared by any candidate to sit in JEE-Advance is released along with the final result of JEE-Main and for JEE-Main 2022 the final result will be released after all 2 attempts will be completed and the final result will be on the basis of your best score amongst different attempts.
so for now you can get an idea from JEE-Main 2021 qualifying cut-offs that are enlisted below :-
==>> Common Rank List (CRL) - 87.8992241-100.0000000 Percentile
==>> GEN-EWS - 66.2214845-87.8950071 Percentile
==>> Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL) - 68.0234447-87.8950071 Percentile
==>> Scheduled Caste (SC) - 46.8825338-87.8950071 Percentile
==>> Scheduled Tribe (ST) - 34.6728999 87.8474721 Percentile
==>> PwD - 0.0096375-87.8273359 Percentile
Note that in above table it is not the actual cut-off for JEE-Main 2022 but previous year's cut-off.
