Hello pratheeba,

If you want to become a researcher you need to follow the steps:

  1. A very good PhD with publications in good and high impact peer reviewed journals.
  2. A good post doctoral experience from abroad. Work experience in Ivy league or equivalent European universities and from world renowned biotechnology labs will certainly add a lot of spice in your CV.
  3. Very good recommendations from your advisors. It is almost as important as your research work. Recommendation from a Nobel laureate or from an eminent and powerful Indian scientist will immensely help you to cross the last hurdle. Remember at that level, the competition becomes harsh and you will find far too many candidates with brilliant academic and research careers vying for a single post.

If you want to become good researcher you need to give following exams which I have mentioned  below:

You can apply for either MSc or MSc integrated PhD course. Aim for NCBS, IISc, IISERs, IITs for a Phd if you do it in India.

For abroad, you have to give your GRE and TOEFL/IELTS. Good options for doing masters abroad are Germany(you should know the language atleast the basics), Canada, the US and Australia. New Zealand and Ireland are other options that you can look into.

Try to aim at good institutes for your MSc as this will help you get a dissertation project at a good place. Have a good research experience and publish a paper/papers whenever you get a chance. This will help you to get a PhD abroad incase you want to pursue outside the country.

If you still have issues regarding this you can comment in below.

I hope it solves your problem.

Hello student,

Making notes and revising them regularly is very important for any competitive exam. Revison is an important part and it helps in remembering concepts and formulas.

For all the subjects the procedure is similar. You need different notebooks for every subject. Always go topic wise, make notes topic wise.
First of all read the concepts and theorems everything, that is read all the theory part first in a chapter or topic. Mark all the important points , theorems, formulas and concepts. Mark everything that you feel you might not be able to remember.
After reading and marking, write all these points in your notebook. Writing them in proper sequence and point wise will make it easier for you to revise and remember.
For chemistry write all the compounds name nas formulas , make a different chart and tables. Don't just simply copy statements. Try to write them in your own words and in short.
For mathematics also write the theorems and formulas for better understanding and remembering.

I this way you should read a topic first, understand it and then write down points. This will help you understand the topic properly and also not down points which you can keep revising.

I hope this is helpful to you.
All the best!

Hi

When you are done with the registration process. After the release of cut offs, candidates have to check their eligibility criteria as per their best of four percentage.

Suppose the cut off for college C is 96.5% for a course X, then to be eligible to take admission in that particular college you must have 96.5% or more as your score, then only you can apply for that college.

Once you've applied for a college, another round of admission process includes the document verification. When finally the documents are verified, your admission is confirmed. The last step remains the fee payment. When this too is done, welcome to DU!

This year, due to covid-19 the whole admission process is online so this time it's all done via internet.

Thanks

So by that lock the options in the list.

Hi there,

I hope you are doing well. Cut-off of a university can not be calculated by any of us. It depends on various factors like-:

  • No. Of students
  • Difficulty of the paper.
  • Category rank
  • All india rank

And the main thing is that there is no open method to calculate cut-off by us. It is upto the conducting body of the exam. So be patient and wait for that.

I hope this helps you.
