The College library is housed in a spacious hall comprising of the reference hall and stack area with a spacious reading room. The library of SD has a total strength of more than 2,00,000 publications. The Libraries also contain audiovisual facilities. the college has a collection of Books, Journals, Research Papers, and Periodicals in various fields of Education. It also includes information that is useful for teaching and reference purposes. Every college has its library in SD.

The college has a canteen facility for staff and students. The institute runs a common mess on a contract basis but under the supervision and guidance of the institute to provide hygienic and nourishing food to students.

The college has sports facilities for all students. The institute, as well as a hostel, has several playgrounds and sports material inventory for the overall healthy development of students. Management encourages both outdoor and indoor games with the support of playgrounds for cricket, football, badminton, hockey, lawn tennis, etc. For indoor games table tennis, chess, carom-boards, etc. are also provided. The institute also organizes sports and athletics to meet from time to time.
