Seva Sadan's College of Education, Ulhasnagar: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Seva Sadan's College of Education is, established in 1966, a very important destination for academic training located right at the heart of Thane, Maharashtra. It is a co-educational college with a compact campus of 0.79 acres and aims to develop potential teachers. NAAC accredited, this college functions under the affiliation of University of Mumbai and has the approval of NCTE also. Specialized education courses are offered by this college in four specializations. The enrollment strength is 292 while the faculty strength is 16.

The college has got extensive facilities which would provide the students with as good a learning experience as possible. At the center of all these facilities is a library, well-stocked, which occupies the entire third floor of the building. This large library contains a vast collection of books, journals, and encyclopedias, digital resources covering all aspects of education and related areas. The faculty provides facilities for a reference section, a periodical section, and a research section with a reading hall and browsing space. 

The college also kept subject-wise laboratories, through which practical experiences were given to the students. An auditorium is considered a hall of events and seminars, while a cafeteria meets the refreshment requirements of students and faculty. The institution provides modern IT infrastructure with all the latest resources for students' benefit. Sports facilities are available to facilitate physical recreation among them, while air-conditioned classrooms provide comfort during learning. The college further maintains an active alumni network and seeks connections between past students and the ones currently studying. 

The college totals four full-time courses offered by Seva Sadan's College of Education, all concentrated on different aspects of education. The institute has an approved intake of 222 students for all programs. The B.Ed program, which forms the backbone of the college's offerings, takes up the maximum number of intake with 100 seats. Next to this is the M.Ed program with 50 seats and targets students seeking upgrading of their educational qualification. D.El.Ed course in elementary education: 40 students PhD in Education: The college has provided a Ph.D programme in Education, having 32 seats. 

Admission The pattern of admission to the Seva Sadan's College of Education varies with the course. B.Ed : Admission to the B.Ed course is centralized. The Maharashtra Knowledge Corporation Limited carries out admission on behalf of the Government of Maharashtra. The college follows a two-year curriculum, as prescribed for this program by the University of Mumbai. Admissions to D.El.Ed and M.Ed are strictly merit-based, and acceptance will be given based on marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. All conditions are stipulated as per the state government and the university. As an institution that has been symbolically synonymous with teacher education, Seva Sadan's College of Education continues to be the bedrock for future education in the region.
