SCET Hyderabad: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Autonomous Shadan College of Engineering & Technology (SCET) was started in 1995 in Hyderabad, Telangana. Particularly linked to the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University in Hyderabad, SCET has been accredited by AICTE and NAAC. The college occupies the cross-sectional area of 10.02 acres and provides a rich choice of 18 courses within three degrees. The intake of students for the total programmes offered by SCET is 1,267 students while for its faculty it has 192 members which ensures a proper ratio of student faculty. These educational institutions are co-educational and innate gender ratio of the students pursuing undergraduate course is 98% male and 2%females, while the student of postgraduate course is 78%male and 22% females.

Various modern facilities are offered for students within the SCET Hyderabad campus to include: Resource identification It has an institutional library with more than Twenty-four thousand two hundred and ninety-five volumes & four thousand four hundred & forty-eight titles, sixty national journals fir sixty, and twelve international journals fir twelve Besides, the college has a well-established library with the facility of the internet and full subscriptions to sixty National Journals and twelve International Journals. There is also an elaborated IT campus with recent computer classes and fast connection to the internet, thereby providing students with the research instruments dictating the modern world. Specialised laboratories for each department provide practical and training sessions Including experiment laboratories and instrumental analyses laboratories.

The institute provides a variety of programmes to the student community at the undergraduate as well as postgraduate levels. At the undergraduate level, SCET offers B.Tech in multiple fields like Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, the more recent developments fields like Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. The college also provides postgraduate courses in M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering, VLSI, Embedded System and MBA. Examination intakes: The highest number of intakes is provided to the B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering programme with 180 seats and the second highest to the B.Tech in Information Technology programme with only 60 seats.

To start with, the admissions procedure of students in the SCET Hyderabad is conducted through competitive examinations. Actually, for the undergraduate engineering programmes the admission is based on the Telangana State Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (TS EAMCET). All admissions in postgraduate engineering courses need the candidate to provide valid TS PGECET scores, MBA admissions require TSICET scores. The college also accepts diploma holders under the programme of lateral entry admissions. There are few admission forms which are to be filled up by the desired course and necessary documents to be attached, the students have to sit for counselling rounds, and they have to pay the fee structure in order to get the admission.
