Shahajiraje Mahavidyalaya, Khatav: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Shahajiraje Mahavidyalaya, Khatav was established in the year 1965 as an affiliated college in Satara. It spreads over a plot of 19.35 acres with all necessary facilities that help in building up the students in a favourable manner for learning and growth. With a total enrolment of 836 students and faculty strength of 50, Shahajiraje Mahavidyalaya has an appreciable student-teacher ratio assuring individual attention to each learner. At present, this college offers three undergraduate degree courses: B.A., B.Sc., and B.Com.  which aid to a wide range of academic interests.

Among the facilities provided at Shahajiraje Mahavidyalaya are those that help in improving the learning experience of the students. The library, started in 1967, has a well-stocked collection of about 39,000 books and periodicals. Separate reading facilities for boys and girls provide an atmosphere for concentrated study. Concern of the college toward updating technology is reflected in its excellently skilled IT infrastructure, which comprises internet connectivity and Wi-Fi facilities on the entire campus. The college has a big playground with a standard 400x8 meter track, where many sports activities are possible for games like cricket, football, volleyball, kabbadi, and kho-kho. In athletics, long jump, triple jump, discus throw, shot put, and javelin throw take place.

Shahajiraje Mahavidyalaya runs a total of three full-time undergraduate courses: BA., B.Sc., and B.Com. Courses at the college level are designed to be all-rounded in nature, having a view to prepare the students for their future academic and professional pursuits.
