Shaheed Bhagat Singh College of Education, Kalanwali, was established in the year 2007 as an affiliated college at Sirsa in Haryana. The institution is a co-educational one with a campus of 2 acres, and it has been approved by NCTE. It offers two specialized programs in education with a total student enrolment of 186 and a faculty strength of 15.

The facilities provided by this college are: There is a fully equipped, computerized library that acts as the information centre, carrying more than 3,000 books, periodicals, and multimedia resources. The commitment to computers is reflected in a state-of-the-art computer laboratory with Pentium IV PCs and internet access, wherein the students can keep in close liaison with the global educational scenario. Sports facilities, auditoriums for events and seminars, and subject-based laboratories further enrich the campus life. The college also lays stress on the well-being of its students with a health center that offers first-aid services, and offers separate hostel facilities for both boys and girls in order to provide a good atmosphere for studies.

Shaheed Bhagat Singh College of Education runs two regular courses—a two-year B.Ed course with an intake of 100. This program enable students to acquire knowledge regarding pedagogy and skills in subjects that are very essential for a successful teaching profession.

The admission procedure in Shaheed Bhagat Singh College of Education is based on merit, as determined by the marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination, in accordance with policies prescribed by the state government, UT administration, and affiliated university. The candidates for the B.Ed course shall be selected on the basis of academic performance and performance in relevant entrance exams.
