Sherwood College of Engineering Research and Technology was established in the year 2007 as an affiliated college based in Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh. Sprawling over 20 acres, SCERT offers many engineering programs to budding technologists. Its faculty consists of 77 members dedicated to promoting the next line of engineers. SCERT offers a co-educational environment, open to both male and female students. Programs offered include several B.Tech courses and diploma courses in various engineering disciplines catering to different interests in the field of engineering.
The institute boasts comprehensive facilities to enhance the learning experience. It has well-equipped laboratories with state-of-the-art equipment in the departments of electronics, mechanical, and computer sciences. The intellectual hub is a computerized library that stocks over 13,934 volumes and 2,695 titles. Several journals, national and international, are also available here. The college has sporty facilities for the physical health of students, such as table tennis, badminton, basketball, and volleyball courts. The whole campus is Wi-Fi enabled, ensuring perfect internet connectivity. It also provides separate hostels for boys and girls with all modern amenities and a scholarly atmosphere for overall development.
The present B.Tech programs offered are four in number: Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. The other courses provided by SCERT are B.Tech in Civil Engineering and diploma courses in Civil and Mechanical Engineering. The B.Tech programs add up to an intake of 360 seats, out of which Computer Science and Engineering, and Electronics and Communication Engineering have the highest intakes of 90 each. This wide array of programs under one umbrella enables a student to choose a specialization that interests and suits their career goals.

The admission procedure of SCERT is guided by the rules framed by the Academic Council of AKTU, Lucknow. Admission to the B.Tech programs for first-year students in the first semester shall be in accordance with these rules, though it is worthwhile to note that SCERT does not permit admission by migration from other Universities. The college accepts B. Pharma as one of the entrance examinations for admission.

Sherwood College of Engineering Research and Technology (SCERT) is a constituent college at Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh. The institute follows a proper admission procedure according to the guidelines issued by the Academic Council of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Lucknow. SCERT offers various courses in engineering at the undergraduate level with a focus on providing good quality technical education.
The SCERT admission process is usually on the AKTU academic schedule, normally opening in May-June for the August-September beginning academic year admission. The institute principally admits through entrance examinations, of which B.Pharma is an accepted exam to take admission for B.Tech courses.
For Undergraduate admissions, students should have passed their 10+2 from a valid board with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. While no minimum cutoff marks are specified, the students must possess a sound academic record in the above subjects.

The admission procedure for the application to join SCERT's B.Tech courses is the following:

5. Confirmation of Admission: Once allotted a seat in SCERT, candidates need to confirm their admission by paying the fee and providing all documents within the specified time frame.
6. Reporting to the Institute: Admitted students are requested to report at SCERT on the date of commencement of the academic session as per schedule.
Degree wise Admission Process
B.Tech Programs:
SCERT offers B.Tech in five disciplines: Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Civil Engineering. All the B.Tech courses follow the same admission process under the guidelines set by AKTU.
Diploma Programs
SCERT also offers diploma courses in Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering, these would likely follow a different admissions procedure, which may be at the state level through diploma entrance exams or the 10th standard marks.
