Shivaji Arts Commerce and BCA College, Karwar Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college has provided a central library consisting of about 24,149 volumes of books and 12 journals based on job opportunities, competitive examinations, education, and sports. All the latest editions of books both for reference and text are available in this library. It also subscribes to 6 newspapers and 10 periodicals for the information and to update knowledge. The intervention of Information Technology has provided a great gap in the case of Library automation services. The Library is computerized with all the features of the library management system. The library also maintains e-books for students along with Inflib-Net and it has the digital library facility for all the students with the internet connection. Apart from adequate furniture, cool and purified drinking water facilities are provided. Xerox facility is available for students and staff.

The College Canteen is a large spacious area, with a view of greenery all around, and a variety of refreshments and meals available. A canteen is run on the premises of the College under the supervision of the management and the staff. It serves the students and the staff with reasonable rates and good quality food. The surrounding cleanliness is maintained well and food hygiene is taken special care.

The computer lab has more than 20 Personal Computers with the latest configurations. It is a well-equipped computer laboratory with high tech computers with the latest configuration, printers & structured network system to provide opportunities for study and training to the students is established. The computer lab has several sections. Each of these sections offers different software applications for support of the many program areas such as standard applications, Internet applications, programming, and art design application.

Sports create competitive zeal and social awareness among the students so a proper playground is provided by the college within the college campus and the ground is well maintained by the management. The students are allowed to use the ground as and when required.

The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminars.

The college has a departmental based laboratory facility for the students.
