Shri Bhagwan Shiv PG College, Etah, is a recognized college by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) for teacher education courses. The college has a wide array of undergraduate and diploma courses in different disciplines.

Degree wise Admission Process
B.A.: The college has 420 seats for B.A. Admissions are open to those who have completed Higher Secondary (10+2) education. The admission process is through an interview, and admissions are by merit, provided seats are available.
B.Sc. (Maths Group): This program, with 300 seats, has candidates who have cleared Higher Secondary (10+2) education. The admission process is through an interview, and admissions are based on merit.
B.Sc. (Biology Group): Also like Maths Group, 300 seats are provided in this programme. Eligibility and admission guidelines are identical with the need for completion of 10+2 and a selection process on the basis of merit with an interview.
B.Com: 100 seats are given by the college for B.Com. Higher Secondary (10+2) has to be completed by the applicants. An interview is followed by a selection procedure on the merit basis.
B.Ed: 100 seats are available for B.Ed. Graduation in any subject with at least 50% marks is the eligibility. Admission is done by the Director of Higher Technical Education.
D.El.Ed: 100 seats are provided under this program. The eligibility criteria are to clear Higher Secondary (10+2) with a minimum of 50% marks. Merit-based admission is done taking into account the marks in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination, as specified by state government policy.
