Shri Nathmal Goenka Law College was established in 1956 in Akola, Maharashtra. Currently, this is one of the sought-after centres for imparting legal education. It is an affiliated and approved college by the Bar Council of India and associated with the National Assessment and Accreditation Council. The college operates on a small 2.12-acre campus but still has an enormous student size of 727 students with a faculty of 10 members. 

The college ensures a relevant learning environment for the learners and provides facilities that support the process of scholarship. The college library, holding more than 12,800 books, is well stocked with standard textbooks, reference material, important legal journals, and back volumes. Shri Nathmal Goenka Law College offers a gamut of legal education programmes. The college runs seven full-time courses that include both undergrad and postgraduate. The LLB programme, of course, is the flagship programme with an intake of 300 seats each year, while the integrated BA LLB programme offers 60 seats. At postgraduate levels, the college offers specialised LLM courses in Criminal Law, business law, human rights, Constitutional and Administrative law.
