Shri Nathmal Goenka Law College, Akola. It is among the oldest and premium institutions for legal education in Maharashtra. The institute is NAAC accredited as well as recognized by the Bar Council of India. It provides undergraduate as well as postgraduate programmes in law. The mode of admission to Shri Nathmal Goenka Law College will be an entrance examination. Most major entry into undergraduate law programs like LLB and BA LLB would be through Maharashtra Common Entrance Test Law, known as MHCET Law. These are state level entrance exams carried out every year for students across Maharashtra aspiring to join law classes.

Application Process

1. MHCET Law Application: A candidate has to file up the online application for appearing in MHCET Law. In addition, an applicant has to file up their application through the official website of the Maharashtra CET Cell and pay a fee in due time.

2. Entrance Examination: The students would appear for the MHCET Law test for the next level on announced dates, 19-20 March 2025, and the online mode test comprises the legal abilities and general knowledge of the applicants.

3. Result and Counseling: After announcement of MHCET Law test results, the candidate would be liable to attend counseling in the states for centralization, which states carry out a process called the CAP.

4. Admission in College: If anybody wants to be admitted in Shri Nathmal Goenka Law College then comes under the process of counselling preferences.

5. Document verification : Once the lists are finalized a procedure is maintained for document verification. Generally the documents are

Degree wise Admission Process

LLB: Shri Nathmal Goenka Law College offers 300 approved seats for the 3-year LLB program. Admissions are merit-based through MHCET Law entrance exam. It is the flagship program of the college and provides students with comprehensive legal education.

BA LLB: The 5-year integrated BA LLB has an intake of 60 seats. Admission to the BA LLB is also strictly on the basis of the results of the MHCET Law examination, like the LLB program. The integrated course combines arts subjects with legal studies, thereby providing a more holistic approach to legal education.

LLB and LLM Programs: The college offers specialized LLM programs in Criminal Law, Business Law, Human Rights, and Constitutional and Administrative Law. Although the admission procedure for these is not mentioned here, generally these programs require completion of an LLB degree for candidates. However, the basis of selection for this program would also depend upon academic performance of a candidate in his or her LLB program as well as the criteria defined by the college.
