Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal's Narsee Monjee College of Commerce and Economics, popularly known as NM College of Commerce and Economics, one of the noted institutions and located in Mumbai, Maharashtra, was started in the year 1964 as a co-educational college. NM College of Commerce and Economics has been inspiring generations to achieve excellence regarding commerce and economics for almost sixty years. A NAAC accredited NM College, it is an affiliated college which provides various undergraduate and post graduate courses. The college sprawls over a compact campus area of 0.2899 acres covering a total student enrolment of 3,491 and a faculty of 43. It offers 13 courses under 5 degrees with its specialised approach towards commerce, management, and information technology.

The vision of Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal's Narsee Monjee College of Commerce and Economics is to make best-in-class facilities available for students. One of the most important parts of the academic resource, as such, is the library: with 66,900 books, 94 journals and magazines, 307 CDs, and an e-library facility that accesses more than 27 databases in order to facilitate the varied needs of research by students and faculty alike. The IT infrastructure also boasts two computer labs housing 90 computers, all networked and connected to a dedicated leased line that provides connectivity to the internet. Gymnasium facilities are available for those who keep themselves physically fit, and qualified staff attends to them. Sports participation is encouraged from the district to the national level. The college also avails the benefits of various auditoriums and conference rooms circulated by SVKM, namely Juhu Jagru Hall and Bhaidasmaganlal Sabhagriha, which serve as the mainstays for a large number of programmes at the national and international levels.

NM College of Commerce and Economics offers a great variety of courses to help attract students to the institution. Of the 13 courses they run, they range from undergraduate to postgraduate courses in their programmes. Among them are full-time programmes like B.Com, BMS, B.Com (Accounting and Finance), B.Com (Financial Markets), B.Sc (Information Technology), as well as several M.Com specialisations.

NM College of Commerce and Economics strictly admits its students on merit basis as per the rules and regulations of University of Mumbai. In case of the B.Com class, first preference for the B. Com (Hons) class is given to in–house students on merit basis up to the sanctioned capacity of the F.Y.B.Com class, based on the verdict of the Hon'ble High Court. Applications for a number of courses are available throughout the college calendar year, and each programme has its assigned date.
