The Siga College of Education, Villupuram District is founded in the year 1999 – 2000 and regarded as one of the most prominent institute to cultivate future teachers. The co-educational college is situated in Kappiyampuliyur Village, Vikravandi Taluk, Villupuram of Tamil Nadu and occupies an area of 10.06 acre. The institute NCTE recognised institute having total 147 intake of B.Ed students approved by the National Council for Teacher Education. The given college has a dedicated team of 23 skilled educators which help SIGA College of Education provide and maintain its competitive student-teacher ratio.

Currently, SIGA College of Education provides only one course of study, that is the Bachelor of Education (B.ED) programme. Academic Details-This is a two year full time course for which the approved intake is one hundred which shows that the institute aim to sustain the quality of education in a large number which will cater to the number of aspiring teachers. The B.Ed program therefore aims at producing competent qualified teachers to practice in the profession in order to enhance their careers.
