Silapathar Science College, Dhemaji was established in 1996. It is an affiliated college located at Silapathar, Assam, at Amritpur Village. It covers an area of 1.99 acres and has been graded as 'B' by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council. Total students enrolled stand at 954 and strength at 42 for faculty. 

The broad range of courses and modern facilities promoted within this facility are important indicators of a commitment to quality education. Total 11 courses, both undergraduate and postgraduate, are available in Silapathar Science College. Full-time courses related to science stream are available in this particular institution. Undergraduate major courses include B.Sc with Anthropology, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, and Mathematics. At the postgraduate level, the college offers M.Sc in Botany and Zoology. Other programs conducted by the college include diploma courses in Information Technology and Herbal Medicinal Plants.
