Sinhgad Institute of Management, Pune has a dedicated placement cell to provide job opportunities to its final-year students. Sinhgad Group of Educational Institutes has a Common Placement Cell (CPC) for its management institutes that have been constituted keeping in mind the number of students pursuing various management courses from all Sinhgad Management Institutes. The CPC schedules a common placement drive for all the management students of Sinhgad Institutes. The SIOM Placement Cell helps the students to get groomed before the placement drive. CPC conducts Expert Sessions to guide students and provides training in Aptitude Tests, Group Discussions, and much more.

SIOM Placement Process

• Sinhgad Institute of Management (SIOM) Pune organises placement drives every year for its final-year students. 

• The cell invites the companies for campus placements. 

• After recruiting companies agree the cell fixes the dates to conduct the placement drive. Then the SIOM placement schedule is made and shared among the students.

• Interested candidates have to register to participate in the drive. 

• Sinhgad Institute of Management shortlists the candidates based on academic requirements such as a minimum percentage, no backlogs, or any other criteria as demanded by the recruiters. 

• Companies deliver a pre-placement talk for the shortlisted students.

• The companies then take tests in order to judge the knowledge, skills, and IQ of the students.

• After qualifying for the test, the candidates participate in Group Discussions (GD).

• After GD, the final stage of the placement process is a Personal Interview (PI). 

• The selected students are then offered a job and an offer letter comprising all the necessary details.

SIOM Placement Cell Activities

• Through the Bloomberg Champions Programme, CPC offers certification and other incentives for students along with hands-on knowledge of markets and finance.

• The placement cell conducts a 2-day aptitude training programmw for first-year MBA students.

• It provides second-year students with grooming sessions on GD and PI.
