Sonapur College, Kamrup has a placement cell which organises the training programmes on various skills which helps students to prepare better for the recruitment process. The Institute also makes sure that they can help most of the students getting placed into various companies, organisations and government offices by helping them in every possible way. The cell conducts mock tests and practices session classes on aptitude, quantitative ability, logic and reasoning to make students practice and get better before appearing for the final interview.

The placement cell receives the feedback pertinent to curriculum improvement from the visiting companies to the departments and ensures that the curriculum follows the latest industrial trends.

It also helps every student define his/her career interest through individual expert counselling and makes available updated databases and job profiles of the companies and thus helps each student analyse and choose the institute or company of his/her interest.
