B.Ed; it is a two-year course designed with the aim of preparing graduates for teaching at the secondary and higher secondary levels. D.El.Ed. is a two-year course whose aim involves training teachers at the primary and upper primary level. It involves very well-designed programs that induct a combination of theoretical knowledge with practical skills for teaching effectively within different educational settings.

The admission process in Sri Ramkrishna Sarada College of Education is based on merit and completely transparent. Admission to the B.Ed. course is made on the basis of marks obtained by the candidate in the qualifying examination and/or on the basis of an entrance examination. The selection process also conforms to the policies set by the state government and the affiliated university. In the case of D.El.Ed., admission is based on the candidate's performance in the qualifying examination or by a state-level entrance test, as may be decided by the state government of West Bengal.
