SRM College of Education, Hisar was established in 2006 and is situated at Talwandi Rana, Hisar, Haryana. The institute is NCTE-approved and delivers different kinds of education-related courses. The total numbers of students enrolled in the college are 678 and it has a faculty of 33, spread over a campus of 4.25 acres. It is a co-educational college and has given equal opportunities in respect of admission to male and female students.

Facilities are there that help students learn and grow. The modern I.T. infrastructure has equipped state-of-the-art software, hardware, and high-speed internet connectivity. The collection of books, journals, and periodicals in all subjects and meets the requirements of the NCTE library has separate sections on reference books, current periodicals, and reading area. Many specialised laboratories are available, including the Science Lab, Social Studies Lab, and Educational Technologies Lab—all of which can offer practical experiences for the students. The sports facilities are a cricket field, football, badminton, and softball. Other infrastructural facilities include an auditorium for events and seminars, a health centre with first-aid facilities, and a guest house for visitors.

SRM College of Education, Hisar has provided, in aggregate, four full-time courses. It offers three full-time undergraduate courses and one full-time postgraduate course. The importance laid by the college is on training students as teachers in education and physical education. 

Admission criteria for B.Ed. courses are primarily merit-based. As per the state government and university policy, students can be considered for admissions with merits obtained in the qualifying examination or entrance tests. Similarly, to M.Ed. courses, strictly merit-based admissions would follow based on the marks scored in the qualifying examination or entrance tests. Eligibility conditions have to be met by candidates in five seats dedicated for villages, wherein the candidates have to qualify through a combined entrance test. The college follows the policy of Haryana State Government and the affiliated university for admission.
