Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) is a two-year full-time diploma program offered by the State Council of Education Research and Training, Gurgaon, and approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).

Eligibility Criteria

A. The admission will be open to bona fide residents of Haryana and 15% of other state students only.

B. The minimum Educational Qualification for Admission to these courses is as follows:-

(i) Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.)

A candidate should have passed the 10+2 Examination with English as one of the optional/elective subjects from any recognized University and passed the matric examination with Hindi & English Subjects compulsory.

(ii) Diploma in Elementary Education: D.El.Ed. (Urdu)

In addition to the qualification prescribed as at (i) above for a Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.), the candidate should have passed Urdu in Secondary (10th class) Examination from the Board of School Education Haryana, or any other Board having equivalency of their examination with the Board of School Education Haryana Bhiwani.

C. Age for Admission

Minimum and upper age limit for admission to D.El.Ed./D. Ed (Urdu) Courses will be 18 years and 36 years respectively. Upper age is relaxable by five years in the case of S.C. & B.C. candidates.

Admission Details

The candidates for five village seats will be considered only if they fulfill the eligibility conditions and also qualify in the combined entrance test. They will be considered for admission strictly in order of merit in the Entrance Test.
