The infrastructure was good with decent classrooms, well-equipped auditoriums and science labs. The college library is well maintained and has a large collection of goods. The cafeteria and canteen is clean.
The faculty was good and helpful. Mathematics Department faculty provided us with all the materials and notes needed. Computer skills and certification courses should be added, so that students can add to their skills.
Placement culture is not popular for general courses like B.sc and BA. Companies do come for placements but it was mostly for sales. Students are mostly focused on pursuing higher education like Masters.
The infrastructure and facilities provided by the college is one of the best in Shillong like classrooms with projectors and fans, seating which is comfortable and classrooms accommodate around 80students at once. The college has two canteens and a small stationary shops where tea and snacks are also available, campus with wifi facilities, wonderful sports facilities are also available at the college.
I did my B.Com with banking as major, the quality of teaching is decent with most professors being gold medalist during their tenure and also their teaching techniques are great which make us job ready. The syllabus was decent but required some changes.
The placement at St Anthony’s is very poor but companies do participate Like HDFC offering sales job with an average of 2LPA. The process was very simple we just need to fill a form by selecting the companies that we want to work for and we had an aptitude exam and Hr round.
The college facilities are great with the ignorance of the placement i feel its a value for money with the college being rank A+ in NAAC and also Anthonys being a big brand value.
The campus life is awesome like having a cup of tea near the stationary shops and sitting near the basketball court with friends during break. The fest and carnival organised by the college and the College weeks where we participate different sports and enjoy ourselves.
The college is average, although it is one of the best in the city plus build by British during the world war so it is quite old now. The college provides us with 80 students accommodation classrooms with projectors but no smart board or AC. The college has two canteen and two basket ball courts with tennis court beside it. It doesn't provide parking area for students.
The academics of the College is one of the best as most of the teachers are gold medalist during their tenure. The College provides toppers from each departments but still lacks to provide students with practical knowledge. The faculty doesn't make us job ready. Apart from academic they introduce lots of fest to the students.
The college do provide us with placement option but most of the students don't apply for it and pursue for higher educations. As it cannot bring good companies to the campus being of the best college in the town.
Yes, the college have all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment like a basketball court, badminton hall, a gym for the students, a cozy cafeteria to chill and a budget friendly hygiene canteen. Each classroom has a projector, smartboards and the campus is equipped with WiFi and has a huge library which consist of various kinds of books for the students.
The faculty are extremely good and are professional in their own field and are friendly to students when it comes to clearing their doubts. Yes, the curriculum is updated and includes all the recent developments in the field. Yes, some of the knowledge which i gain there makes me a into a job-ready.
Its an average. Around 20% of Students were placed as most of the student opt for higher studies. The average salary offered was around 2.5L p.a. The placement process was not that easy because there are maximum number of students and the vacant post offered was less.
The College provide us with all the infrastructure , facilities and equipments such as for sports they provide us with basketball court ,badminton and tennis court whereas for education they provide us with fully equipped library , e-books, computers. The best part about the college is that the campus is fully equipped with wifi and also canteen and cafes.
The teachers are well knowledge and experience within their field. We are allowed to choose marketing, banking, management and accountants as one of our honours for two years and first year being the introduction of all this subjects.
Placement in St Anthonys College is decent within the periods the faculty helps students to achieve their desire role by guiding them with their experience and helping them to choose the best. They guide us to upgrade necessary skills required to be corporate ready.
Yes, college boasts top-notch infrastructures with modern classrooms, fully equipped labs, extensive library resources, and sports facilities. Yes, the living spaces are clean, and the food is hygienic.
I did my b.com in this college, and the teaching quality of the teachers are good, and they are approachable and readily available to support the students even outside the class hours. The curriculum is updated, and it helps the students thrive the necessary knowledges and the skills required for the job purposes.
St. Anthony college is one of the best colleges in the entire state of Meghalaya known for its academic excellences, but one notable area of concern is the lack of placement opportunities in the college for its students. Despite offering quality education across various discipline, the college falls short in providing adequate support for the students transitioning from academic to professional world.
The cost for the course is quite expensive for the courses offered in the college but it's worth it for the education we received in the college.
For me the campus of the college is excellence. The nature and the environment of the city is good and the weather is also so good.
Best colleges in the state.
Overall good infrastructure offered by the college. No complaints regarding this aspect but what I do want to point out is, during my batch, elevators were not installed yet and ascending or descending the stairs for attending classes between different floors was a bit tiring. Adding to the same it mainly poses a problem for students or staff with certain ailments or problems thus, this is the main need for it. On the contrary to this, I think elevators have become operational now, so it's no biggie.
Quite good... Our batch was sadly affected by the corona pandemic so most of our academic activities took place in online mode. Nonetheless, the teachers did a great job in carrying on their duties imparting knowledge to us considering it was their first time teaching in this digital way. Syllabus structure can be updated with time.
As far as I'm concerned... I don't actually have a clue on this. Even in my last semester I was not made aware or even heard about any of this thing. It might be because of the pandemic, maybe it had lessen the various companies from collaborating with the college or something... So no comments on this.
yes, it does have necessary infrastructure, teachers are strict and disciplined, everything is properly arranged and neat and clean. , it has classrooms with cctv cameras pre-installed inside the classroom etc.
i already passed out in 2019 from college, quality of teaching is very good , quality of teaching was very good but strict as well, and yes the curriculum gets updated every new year, and yes my study if done well it makes you job ready .
we did not get placement, i am talking about my department(mass media), but other department they had placements. It would have been very good if there was placement for us as well so that everyone could get job and not be jobless like how i am now.
Hello,
Cutoff percentage is unknown as details are not provided by the college officials. If you have percentage above 75 then there is good chance to get an admission.
Admission to BBA degree is based on merit. They might consider students above distinction. This year there might be chance and may not follow previous trends. it can be low upto 65%.
Hope it helps!
Admissions to B.Sc Computer Science in St. Anthony's are based on marks scored in the highest qualification. Ideally a Candidate should have secured a minimum aggregate of 50% in 10+2 and for Reserved Categories it is 45%. But because the seat intake is limited and you can apply for only one course at a time, the cut off might increase. So it is always good to secure a minimum aggregate of 60-75% to be certain of a seat. For more information, please visit their admission page at: http://anthonys.ac.in/Academics/admission.php
