It is something that you appreciate and cherishes for the rest of your life. The Sprawling Campus situated in a lush green salubrious environment is heavenly. Of course, it is a home away from home. Dear students, you are amidst people of various types. You hail from different regions. You represent various traditions, cultures, talents, etc. I would suggest that you recognize these differences. Respecting differences builds up a healthy union of minds and hearts. Feel proud to be part of this miniature world. You are aware that hostel life affords plenty of opportunities for growth, individually and collectively. During your stay in this hostel, I would expect you to learn to grow more loveable and capable. You must also realize that you are living with those who are to grow loveable and capable. Dear ones, every day pray to God for wisdom to imbibe the good qualities. Let us learn from each other the art of growing in happiness. The hostel is a convenient place to study. The administration strives to provide an atmosphere for positive personal growth. Together with hard work and sincerity, the hostellers can develop themselves into fully integrated persons. Many persons who have stayed here feel proud of their association with us. I wish and pray that you are one of them. Besides learning from others, you are to realize that you can also serve as a role model for others. Be generous and magnanimous, as proposed by St. Claudin Thevenet, the founder of the Jesus and Mary Religious Order which runs St.Bede's College. LIBRARY The college is proud to have an automated two-floor library. The students and staff have access to the National Library and Information Service infrastructure of scholarly content through INFLIBNET. * The library is open from 9.00 am to 4.00 pm on all working days. Any change in timings will be notified on the Library and college notice board * The library is operated on the "Open Stack" principle that permits direct access to the books. The books are classified according to the Dewy System and arranged in Decimal Classification System. A book once drawn from a shelf is to be replaced in its previous position. * The college provides excellent Library and reading room facilities. The total number of volumes on the shelves exceeds 32,000 with more than 72 periodicals and 24 e-journals. * The library is essentially a place of quiet and serious study. Silence is to be maintained at all times inside and outside the library. * A student can borrow three books at a time against the Identity-Cum-Library card. Postgraduate students may borrow four books at a time. The books may be retained for a period of seven days, after which they must be returned. At the time of returning the books, the librarian may decide whether to re-issue the book or not. A fine of Re 1/- per volume, per day, will be charged for the books kept over time. *Leave from the college does not imply exemption from the return of the book. The books may be returned to the Library through a messenger or by registered post * Student will keep their personal belongings at the property counter at their own risk. Students may, however, take into the library, notebooks, and essential stationery. * Before leaving the library, students must ensure that they have returned all the reading material used by them. They are strictly forbidden to take away any book which is not issued to them. At the exit counter, books issued will be examined. * BOOK BANK Textbooks will be issued every Tuesday and Friday from 2.00 pm to 3.00 pm. The needy students have to deposit Rs. 100/- per Book as security. * The library provided internet and photostat facility to the staff and students. * Archive Section( Record, Ancient and Rare Books 2500).

Photography Club of St. Bede’s College is dedicated to provide an opportunity to investigate and develop skills, learn the techniques and processing of photography. Thus, providing a platform to display members’ work in the campus. It focuses on elements of photography and developing artistic abilities amongst the students and thereby, providing a stage for exhibition of work.

The college has a dedicated Placement Cell that guides students towards better career prospects and

provides job opportunities through campus interviews with potential employers. It organizes career

guidance sessions, pre-placement training, short-term courses on employability skills, and on-campus

placement drives. Additionally, the counselling cell offers students a confidential space to discuss

academic challenges, personal issues, and emotional well-being.
