Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Sound Design and Visual Editing is a full-time three-year undergraduate degree course offered by Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam.

BA Audiography & Digital Editing (Sound engineering) aims at molding media professionals who are proficient at sound recording, designing, and mixing as well as video editing. The basics of all major aspects of audio production such as acoustics, audio electronics, digital electronics, theory of music, sound recording and mixing, live sound reinforcement, video editing, live Multicam editing, Visual Effects, and film analysis. Along with this students are also trained in software like Pro Tools, Nuendo, Adobe Premiere, Avid, FCP, After Effects, and in surround sound formats like Atmos.


Eligibility Criteria

A person, who has passed Higher Secondary/Intermediate (10+2) or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto, shall be eligible for the course.
