St Joseph Engineering College, Mangalore has a hostel facility for boys. In the boys’ hostel, students are provided with well-lighted and well-ventilated rooms. These rooms are available as single-seater and double-seaters. The boys’ hostel has a warden and a staff in charge who are responsible for the inmates' discipline and well-being. All amenities, including a canteen, fax, phone, e-mail, banking, and postal services are available on the campus. The boys’ hostel had a separate mess facility for the students.  Study hall is also there in the St Joseph Engineering College boys’ hostel.

SJEC Mangalore has a well-equipped dispensary to cater to the medical needs of students, faculty, and other campus inmates. A campus doctor is available 24x7 and lives on the campus. The dispensary has a consultation room, treatment room and nursing counter. The nursing staff is available 24x7 to meet all medical requirements of campus inmates. A campus doctor is on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and lives on campus. A consultation room, treatment room, and nursing counter are all there in the dispensary. The nursing staff is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to meet the needs of campus inmates. First-aid facilities that are well-stocked and updated, as well as other emergency supplies like oxygen cylinders and nebulisation, are available in the dispensary.

Other sports facilities there on the campus are well-maintained volleyball and throwball courts, kabaddi court, netball and ball badminton court, basketball court, four outdoor shuttle badminton courts for both men and women. The indoor sports facilities available in the institute are table tennis, carrom, chess etc. 

The institute has a well-maintained IT infrastructure on the campus premises. It provides system administration and technical support, including software installation, server and desktop/laptop configuration, network monitoring (wired and wireless), internet sharing etc. The entire campus is monitored by 251 high-definition CCTV cameras connected to the campus network, and the footage is stored in bulk data storage units.

St Joseph Engineering College, Mangalore has a canteen that serves hygienic and nutritious food at reasonable prices. It provides a wide range of delicious meals to suit the preferences of each individual. Vegetarians and non-vegetarians have their separate sections. Nearly 250 students can be accommodated at a time.

The institute has a well-maintained auditorium outfitted with several facilities like A/C, Wi-Fi, LAN, sound systems and projector screen. Various functions, programmes, events, meetings, invited lectures, webinars, placement interviews etc take place in the auditorium. 

St Joseph Engineering College, Mangalore provides transport facilities to its students. A fleet of eight buses travels on Puttur, Surathkal, Moodbidri, and Mangalore city routes. Approximately 350 students from all over the region use these bus services to get to and from the institute.
