BE Computer Science Engineering
St Joseph Engineering College is a Religious Minority Institution and admissions are governed as per religious minority institution status, as stated/declared by Government of Karnataka. Seats Break-Up:- Being a Christian minority institution, preference is given to Christian students when admitting students to various programmes in the College. Out of the total intake of 540 seats for B.E. courses, 40% is set aside for CET students, 30% for COMEDK, and 30% for Management Category students. Christian students taking admissions under COMEDK quota are offered seats at highly discounted fees (equivalent to CET fees) depending on the merit of the candidate. Students from all over the country and even from Gulf countries can also answer COMEDK to get admission to SJEC. NRI students can also seek admission through the NRI quota after appearing for COMEDK. Selection is based on the merit of the candidate in the qualifying examination and Entrance test marks. Selection and admission will be provisional and is subject to the norms prescribed by A.I.C.T.E, V.T.U. and Government of Karnataka. The candidates who meet the qualification are required to appear for entrance test and interview to be conducted at St Joseph Engineering College, Vamanjoor Mangalore or any other place specified by the college, the exact date of which will be intimated. The candidates shall bear all the expenses in connection with the selection interview.

St Joseph Engineering College Mangalore takes admissions to both undergraduate and postgraduate courses in various fields. SJEC Mangalore UG Admission Process 2025
Candidates must fulfill the requirements in order to be admitted to the B.E. programme.
The candidates must show up for the KCET/COMEDK UGET test and achieve a passing mark.
The qualified applicants must attend KCET counselling, where their original documents are first checked.
The candidate may use the online option if they are chosen in the document verification round.
By paying the counselling fee at option entry, the candidate can choose the branch and the college as their top choices.
The candidate's performance on the KCET exam as well as their college preference will determine the seats offered to them.

SJEC Mangalore PG Admissions Process 2025
The candidate must meet the requirements for admission to the M.Sc and M.C.A. programmes.
The next step is for qualifying applicants who are interested in the M.Sc programme to sign up for the GATE exam, and for candidates interested in the M.C.A. programme to sign up for the PGCET or KMAT exams.
The selected candidates in the entrance exam will receive invitations to the counselling sessions.
During the online option entry process, the individual must choose the SJEC Mangalore as their top choice.
The applicant's choice during the option entry round is taken into consideration when making the final decision, in addition to their performance on the entrance exam.
The selected individuals will then be contacted and invited to the college for additional admission requirements.
SJEC Mangalore M.B.A Admissions Process 2025
The eligibility criteria for admission to the M.B.A. programme must be met by the applicants.
The qualified individuals must sign up for an entrance exam like the PGCET/KMAT/CMAT.
The qualified candidates will be contacted for the group discussion and the individual interview based on the outcomes.
The results of the admission exam, the candidate's performance in the group discussion, and the interview serve as the sole criteria for selection.

All the teachers are helpful and qualified. Some teachers even assisted me during tough times. They are friendly, and the course curriculum is relevant, making students industry-ready. Normally, electronics and communication engineering exams are a little tougher, and here it is the same, with a pass percentage of 40.

Academics
All teachers here are very educated and experienced, and they are very friendly, except for a few. The course helps us become industry-ready, and the syllabus is a bit difficult, but I think we can manage if we put in hard work and take the help of the teachers. The passing mark is 35 out of 100.

as i am answering your query from the students rating of students who are in st joseph engineering college
Mobile phones are not allowed on the campus , They will provide water and drinking water 24/7. Hot water will be provided in the winter season with scheduled timings. Hostel rooms will be spacious and it has an attached bathroom with them. Sweepers come and clean alternate days. About meals, they provided our tasty meals. We had both veg and nonveg it's upto your choice. Food quality is 10/10.
The rooms are allocated within the shared basis that is 4 members per room. The rooms are highly spacious with attached bathrooms and restrooms. They provide highly hygienic meals and taste will surely tempt our taste buds to eat more. And they provide a variety of foods daily and a menu will be different on each day.
you can use mobile phone in the hostel but not in campus area.

Hope you are doing good in this current COVID situation.
According to your income (i.e. 550000) you are eligible for Supernumerary Quota in all the Engineering colleges in Karnataka automatically. Also not all the eligible students will get this SNQ quota.
Only few students in every colleges will get this SNQ quota. And this quota is given to students based on the income and ranking in KCET .
As you are eligible, you have the chance of getting Computer Science Engineering seat in Supernumerary Quota in St. Joseph Engineering College. Hope for the best.
