St. Joseph's College of Nursing, Nallapadu, is among the top nursing education colleges in Andhra Pradesh. Application Process

Application procedures at St. Joseph's College of Nursing, Nallapadu, are different for different courses:

For B.Sc Nursing and GNM courses:

1. Get the application form either from the college or by downloading the same from the official website.

2. Fill the application form with genuine personal as well as academic information.

3. Put copies of 10+2 mark sheets with Science stream results specifically in Biology.

4. Put other documents if required like:

For M.Sc Nursing courses:

1. Proceed steps 1-2 above.
2. Include photocopies of B.Sc Nursing or equivalent degree certificate and mark sheets.
3. Include proof of registration as a nurse.
4. Carry other necessary documents as described above.
5. Prepare for any entrance exam or interview, if held by the college.

Degree wise Admission Procedure

B.Sc Nursing: A 4-year undergraduate degree with an intake capacity of 50 students. The admission process is based on the marks of the candidate in the 10+2 exam, keeping in view specific emphasis on the Science stream student who has done study of Biology. The course focuses on giving extensive study of nursing as well as exposure.

GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery): The course of 3 years admits 45 students. Admission process also follows the B.Sc Nursing procedure, remembering the scores in 10+2 examination with more emphasis on Science subjects, particularly Biology.

Post Basic B.Sc Nursing: It is a 2-year course for registered nurses who wish to upgrade qualifications. Intake is 20 students. The candidates should have completed basic nursing training and nurse registration to be considered for this course.

M.Sc Nursing: The college has various specializations at master's level with an intake of 4 students in each of them. Specializations are:

• M.Sc Medical Surgical Nursing
• M.Sc Community Health Nursing

Entry to these courses is on completion of a B.Sc nursing course. Some colleges conduct entrance tests and interviews for M.Sc course admissions.
