St Xavier's College, Thumba Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The campus hostel is only for female students of the college. Constructed with the help of UGC and Kerala Jesuit Society the hostel has a capacity to accommodate 60 students with three occupants in a room. Applications are accepted only after admission to the College has been secured. The College Principal is the overall in-charge of the Hostel. However, sisters of St. Gerome are entrusted with the administration of the hostel with Fr. Pious Vachaparambil acting as the director. Sr. Kocuthresia is the warden and Sr. Shincy is the assistant warden.

Basic first aid is available with the College General Office. The College General Office personnel will facilitate the calling of a doctor in case of an emergency or the person concerned can be immediately taken to the nearby Fatima Hospital, Thumba.

The college has a Gym facility for the students.

The college Library was established in 1964 together with the establishment of the college. Library in the name of Jesuit Malayalam poet Arnos Padiri runs in a spacious building that has a carpeted space of 7093 sq. ft. and a capacity to house 250 members. The library has a stack area on the mezzanine floor and a reading/reference area on the ground floor.  The college has a Library that provides print and electronic resources for all academic and related activities of the students and staff.  The library has a collection of 28,524 books and 54 journals/magazines. Over 193 Educational CDs on different subjects are available for the use of stakeholders.  

The college has sports facilities for all students.

The college has an excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students.

The College Canteen has a large spacious area, with a view of greenery and a variety of refreshments and meals available. It is a place on the campus not only for refreshment but also for student bonding, discussions, and even for working on assignments and projects.

The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminars.

The college has a good networking for the alumni association.

The college has a Wi-Fi facility for the students and staff.

The college has a departmental based laboratory facility for the students.

The college has a guest house/waiting room facilities for visiting faculty and student family members.

The college provides a parking space for vehicles at the college entrance.
