Subas Institute of Technology, Bhubaneswar, (SIT) among the leading educational institute, was set up in the year of 2008. This affiliated college is situated in Gyan Vihar, Barang, Bhubaneswar, Odisha, and the college occupies an area of 10.04 acres. SIT is an AICTE affiliated college which maintains quality standards and offers courses in engineering disciplines. Out of the six B.Tech programmes it offers, the institute admits  267 students and it has 73 faculty members. Thus, the number of specialties in technical education offered at SIT remains vast such as Computer Science, Electrical and Electronics, Mechanical, and Civil Engineering.

To support the student needs, SIT offers almost all the necessary facilities in a wide range. It has a stock of ten thousand books and 40 national and international journals, accompanied by a large reading hall. Thus, Subas Institute of Technology has a number of 6 full-time B.Tech programmes and all of them belong to the sphere of engineering. It offers various courses for which the total approved intake of the institute is 315. The courses are B.Tech in  Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical, Electronics and Telecommunication, Civil, Computer Science and Engineering, and Information Technology.

The admission policy and available procedures at Subas Institute of Technology are complete and just to an extent. As much as the admission criteria for specific courses are concerned, the institute accepts JEE Main score for its B.Tech programmes. This national level examination is one of the major parameters which engineering aspiring students go through.
