Subas Institute of Technology, Bhubaneswar, or SIT, is a well reputed educational institution and providing a number of engineering courses. The SIT admission procedure is exclusive to qualified candidates screened for different B.Tech programs. To be admitted into the institution, admission is dependent mostly on the scores of national-level entrance examinations. The institute receives admissions into its B.Tech programs, primarily based on the JEE Main score, which is one of the principal components in admissions at the institute. It also accepts the scores from the entrance examination of Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) as part of the admission into the institute. They act as the criteria for screening candidates in the process so that only those who have a good potential in mathematics, physics, and chemistry are considered for admission to programs.

Generally, the admission process follows the schedule of JEE Main and OJEE. However, since exact dates will vary each year, the candidates must prepare themselves to appear for these entrance exams from August- September of the year prior to the year of learning. Aspiring students must check the JEE Main, OJEE, and SIT official websites for new updates about examination dates, application deadlines, and admission process. B.Tech: Subas Institute of Technology has a total of six B.Tech programs and an intake capacity of 315 seats for the courses collectively. The admission to these courses is based purely on the JEE Main score. The details regarding the B.Tech programs and their number of seats are as follows:

1. B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (120 seats)
2. B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (60 seats)
3. B.Tech in Civil Engineering (60 seats)
4. B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering (30 seats)
5. B.Tech in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering (30 seats)
6. B.Tech in Information Technology (15 seats)

Candidates opting to admit into any of these courses need to qualify by appearing for the JEE Main examination, and additional eligibility conditions are stated by the institute, generally when the admission is based on counseling based on JEE Main rank.
